15:32 swinging off drops definitely helps. It makes for a straighter drop than a long arc, giving you less ground to cover once you land. I don't know if the time of the drop itself is faster, but the 2-3 steps saved could be the difference needed in getting a survivor before a vault or pallet

yup, though i think you got the arc vs straight drop thing reversed. With a lot of testing, I've come to the conclusion that it's almost always helpful, but the point at which you need to lunge varies depending on the height of the drop- with the goal being the weapon wipe animation being played as you fall as much as possible. This strategy has gotten me several hits against a BL that I otherwise would never have gotten before they bursted away.

As a Knight main, if you want more lethality from your guards, bring Call to Arms with the Healing Poultice. Unless your sole goal is to get maximum value out of the guard-specific purple add-ons, don't run any of the double summon yellows. I find it pigeon holes you into desperately trying to get value out of the purple, incentivizing you to save that special guard rather than using them.

With that change to "Hemorrhage" interrupting somebody healing with a medkit, unless they have an add-on to have more charged, now you're likely to cause them to scream and probably not have enough charges to finish the heal anymore, or alternatively, their second heal won't be able to be completed without help if they did bring enough charges as most people bring enough for two heals.

I used to run this build with Gift of Pain, so you have a Double-Scourge Hook Effect from it, which worked out pretty well as well.

Barbecue is also kinda useful as well for some crazy snipes since some survivors like to run off behind a wall or an obstacle to heal.. and unless both survivors are running distortion, then you're pretty likely to catch them with a guard at max distance, although you might need to bring the Call to Arms add-on if you bring BBQ.

I ran these addons for awhile and used Hex: FTD, Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden, and Jolt for maximum screamage and to dicourage hiding in lockers to counter my build, it would give me constant info throughout the match and theyd rarely break my totem

Without Map to help get you in hunts, CTA for very long max range patrols (meaning that the guard will actually start the hunt faster) or Horsemeat to have longer hunts hopefully resulting in hits, the guards become very weak in the hunt compared to if you brought good add ons.

Dried Horsemeat, Map of the Realm, and Call to Arms are your best friends. Idk exactly what you meant about the guard speed but the speed at which they begin their hunt is based on how long the trail was. Longer trail = faster hunt startup.

Yeeee my man is getting some love. Thanks otz 🥰🥰 As a Knight enjoyer my fave add on combo is map of the realm for further guard snipes and dried horsemeat for a longer hunt duration. I also suggest to combine Fearmonger with those two. Oblivious and exhausted survivors while repairing don't know exactly where you are, so you u can scare them pretty well just summoning behind them a unit and get more hits, since they cannot use sprintburst or lithe or DH.

Addon is nice, but the fact that dried horseshit and map of the realm make your power actually usable outside of sending it to stationary survivors on gens makes them mandatory for knight. And even if, let's say map of the realm, would become a basekit (not partially, but all of it, because every meter matter and needed, for every guard except jailer) then there is call to arms, which is his 3rd best addon. It's like malthinkerer skull or trapper sack, these addons so great, it simply hurts to not use them and other options does not compensate disadvantage of not having those "mandatory" addons.

That first match absolutely _is_ THE Knight match of all time. And I don't mean that as a joke, that match showed off Knight's biggest strengths and showed off the best way to play him. It even showed scenarios where no other Killer would excel at putting pressure better than him. I've never been a fan of using DMS, just not my style, but with this add-on combo you get a higher chance of getting value from the perk. Plus getting an extra assassin in rotation can really add that threat level for your AI chases. Does Surveillance work when your Guards regress a gen!? I saw a Knight using it the other day and was a little skeptical. Now I get why they were running it. That's some great utility on Knight. Nice build, I learned a lot from this vid.

I wouldn’t exactly say that this addon is underrated. It’s quite strong actually! The effect itself is quite solid, even better with DMS - and lets face it, there’s no reason to not run DMS on Knight every game. However, this is not an add-on you bring by itself, you MUST bring it with blade to make it consistent. And why is that bad? First, cause it limits your choice, reduces combinations you can create to one. Second, Knight’s guards were not made equal. Carnitech is OP and the more you have it, the better, so more Carnifex is almost always better than less - and this is less. But what’s more important - the more you play Knight, the more you come to realize that his basekit power has cenobite-level inconsistency and requires three specific add-ons to fix that: dried horsemeat, map of the realm and call to arms. Not having at least ONE of these will bite you in the ass more often than not. And THIS is why this - or any other guard-specific add-on - will never be good enough to be called overrated.

Otz believe me or not, I came up with the exact same perk build IN THAT ORDER for my Ghostface wanting to make use of Surveillance, though I wasn't sure yet what first perk to put on the build, I am currently using Deadlock and tried others before that but maybe you're right, Dead man's switch instead might be better. If you read this and have a minute to tell me which one you think is better for Ghostface that'd make my day, even my month tbh

I'm not Otz, but I can spare a minute to help you out! tl;dr: Dead Man's Switch is good with the killer and add-ons, Deadlock works on every killer and build. I think Deadlock fits Ghost Face more. I do think a chase perk could help Ghost Face more tho! I feel like Dead Man's Switch works in the build due to the Knight's add-on. It pairs well with Pain Resonance, however once survivors expect that perk Dead Man's Switch gets little value. On it's own, Dead Man's Switch probably gets value when you scare survivors off generators (as a stealth killer, terror radius probably doesn't scare them away.) I think Deadlock works better for Ghost Face. It's passive slowdown supports those having an unfortunate early game. Pain Resonance doesn't work on blocked generators however, so in that sense you might have to mind Deadlock, since it blocks the most progressed generator. Otherwise Deadlock is a solid perk that works in basically every build. Still, I would suggest something like Play With Your Food, Save the Best for Last or Sloppy Butcher instead of Deadlock. Getting a perk that assists in getting downs helps Ghost Face tremendously. But if you're confident you can get quick downs without chasing perks, then there's nothing wrong with using Deadlock. All up to personal preference!

If you want a simple build in this vein... Ruin + Jolt + Pain Res + Surveillance -> simple stuff! Pop + Jolt + Pain Res + Surveillance -> a bit overkill but hey DMS + Jolt + Pain Res + Surveillance -> even simpler to use Jolt/Ruin + Jolt/PainRes + Fearmonger + Surveillance -> makes it a bit harder on Survivors

I have a hard time getting value out of Pop when coupling it with pain res AND Jolt so it'll be either Ruin, DMS, Deadlock, or Fearmonger which I didn't think of using so good suggestion thx mate ! I'll keep running tests but I don't think Ruin will come out on top cause I don't like hex perks (when not playing Demo), I already tried Ruin to complete the Pain Res/Surge/Surveillance combo though, but I think I'd rather use Fearmonger since its effect last the entire game Have an amazing day @@notOtzdarva , you're the best

I mean, pain res gives you good gen regression for hooking, and you have to hook different survivors. Personally I preferred the older way, more uses less regression, but it's a perk that is fair but amazing. It rewards doing your job compared to the kicking meta.

It also does nothing if they do stealth and rush gens. Which used to be countered by gen kicking and nowhere to hide. So now pain rez does nothing cuz guess what playstyle ALL survivors use right now. The gen kick nerf was a monumental mistake.
