We have learned by now not to ignore 50% of the human body. But where to start with leg attacks? In this video, I show some entries and finishes for what I consider the five most important leg attacks you need to know to be a more complete grappler.

Your legs don’t comprise 50% of your body in terms of mass or volume unless you have a severely underdeveloped torso.

Thanks Eli. Maybe you could occasionally show us defences against some of these - I know I'm more likely to get caught than to be the perpetrator ;)

Excellent take on entry level leg attacks. For me, I started with the straight ankle lock.

I think the best defence against all these is to have super smelly feet. No one will want your feet anywhere near the face.

My second favourite move...leg locks...they always leave them there for the taking.....mostly (not talking about brown & black belts). The other day a guy who was higher belt then me tried to be funny with me, i led him to trip me over and then i went straight for the ankle...he was helpless like a fish out of water. Thanks for this video as i only know two variations of this. i learn most stuff from eli jovi
