Thank you so much for the review. I've followed the whole playthrough and took a lot of notes on improvements and fixes. Really liked the emergent moments you had with AI (2nd mission) where you tried to rush the AI and then made the towers and walls, but eventually succumbed to hunger. Counter-attack window was indeed an unexpected but pleasant option. I also want to add a couple of comments for other players consideration: - unlike some other games, KP is indeed expecting player to build a lot, like 4 woodcutters is a minimum and 6 farms is a healthy average. Big successful town needs like 60 houses (AI does it about right) - AI plays fair and does not rely on high APM, most of his successes can be attributed to the "demand/production" management - hunger hits hard indeed .. it is a heavy price that players have to pay if they build too fast and hire too many units without taking care of all the food they will need - the game can be relaxing if played on x1, when player has more time to evaluate their progress and plan ahead - one can also play in alliance with AI and lookup its progress and build plans in real time - I will add a weak AI, which builds his town and sits in defence, so players can dedicate more time to playing at their pace // grateful game author

If you are wondering about either of these, some answers/clarifications: First game: - A wooden fence can be passed by civilians. A stone one cannot - it's really meant for use as fortification, not as pasture divider. - A farm should have 16 fields to operate optimally. - Most buildings don't match 1-1 in chains. For example, 4 farms feed 3 mills fully and these feed 2 bakeries fully, 2 woodcutters feed 1 sawmill fully etc. You really needed more farms, it takes 4 to feed 1 stable fully for example. - More early wood + more early builders and serfs = faster building. That's the main thing you need to survive the early game harassment. For a little bit later into the game, 1 sheep farm won't suffice, you'll need 3-4 to really do something noteworthy. Or you can just ignore T2 troops and go for iron production, and hammer out some good metal-clad troops. Depends on the amount of iron available. - Mines can be placed only next to a part of mountain that is straight and high enough right on its edge. - Watchtowers have an exception, you don't have to have road going to them. You just need to place them close-enough to currently finished buildings. Same goes to fences. - Man the towers with bowmen. - Woodcutters should be really set to Plant&Fell, the Plant only and Fell only options have little use, since you can clear unwanted trees by "deleting" them with builders. - You had really low food, just 1 fisherman and 1-1-1 farm-mill-bakery cannot feed much. Your food reserve was at 0 fairly early on and stayed there. - You can check the amount of civilians and buildings, and whether they match, in the mechanical calculator icon on the top. - If you click on "infinite" in weapon/armor production, it really just sets the counter to 1000 (though it's not visible). They will keep making 1 of each in sequence, if they have resources available. - A mistake AI made here is they built a ton of fishermen at one tiny pond. A waste. These small ones cannot even fully supply 1 fisherman. Second game: - Troops have morale mechanics. Especially the weaker troops are substantially stronger when defending their own city. This is a good defense against early rushes, but it goes both ways against your enemy. - Keep the fields in front of the farm's door if you want to max the production. - Each cottage adds 20 to the limit of your serfs+builders. It also adds 20 people you need to feed. Specialized workers need a free peasant, but that peasant replenishes after the training (same goes for troops). So build only as many cottages as you need at the moment, or you will starve fast. - Pastures should be 20 fields big each. - You can use the "delete" button to send builders to cut down trees and other minor obstacles. You could have used this to clear the forest and build more food production in its place. That is something you needed more than that Chinese wall. - More farms again! Far more! Most grain-consuming buildings need more than 1 farm for each to be fully supplied. - Too many fishermen. Fish replenish slowly, more often than not, fishermen should not overlap in the area they fish in, or they just clear it immedietaly and then sit, doing nothing. - Right-clicking troop/civilian training or armor/weapon production increases/decreases the count by 10 instead of 1. - Later in the game, you were quite low on serfs, given the amount of buildings that needed to be supplied and amount of builders active. - Central roads should be, at least some of them, 2-fields-wide. Makes for less traffic jams. Cheers!

Some games do limit you zoom for performance reasons, others just limit it... But in a strategy game with massive building is commom to limit for performance reasons, games can become really laggy if you have too many things being rendered

Finally in better shape. I played this like 4years ago like alpha something. Literally knights and merchants in 3D 👌🏻👌🏻 but of course nothing can beat K&M and soundtrack and beautifull graphics👌🏻👌🏻

His memory of Civ is much like my first memory of Civ, playing Civ 1 on an SNES emulator. I was finally able to travel the ocean and my knights discover a new world, only to be met by tanks. Spearman beats tank sure as heck did not exist back in those days, no matter how many times I load state.

Militia is trained in the Camp out of Peasants and needs to be equipped with Clubs. Note that Peasants that get trained into Warriors leave their Cottages and overall population cap remains unchanged.

Игрушка хорошая, но мне не понравилась анимация строительства. В первой части анимация была более проработанная, а тут просто прогрузка текстуры. Сделайте как раньше, когда от каждого стука молотком, появлялась балка дерева или кирпичи

Движок это позволяет, но пока большинство домов не финальные. Появление по балкам сейчас сделано только для 2-3 штук.

I don't know what it is today but many indie titles seem to blend together. Ugly and bland UI. Ugly 3d assets that all look roughly the same. There is just more of this mediocre stuff all the time.

It’s getting easier to develop games as technology increases plus I feel we’ve learned not to focus to much on polishing (graphically) early access games when the gameplay may or may not attract an audience. Anytime we’re out of the EA post apocalyptic zombie game phase is a good day
