This perfectly illustrates why this show was so expensive to make. They spent a lot of time and resources on sets and props for things that they only use once for a short scene. Like the digger orc, or the wave pool that they only needed for that one storm scene. All the normal ocean scenes could just be done in the real ocean, they literally built that entire wave pool room just for the storm. Such a waste of budget.

Imagine the absolute nonsensical garbage that got left out. Did you notice how they went out of their way to leave in that the Digger orc was a ballet dancer, more of the agenda on display because we have to point out that the male actor is a professional dancer, while girlboss lite somehow manages to fend off the Savage Beast. That was the snippet they felt was important about the person's experience.

One thing to note is concept art is different than splash art. Concept art tends to be rough diagrams to convey important information about the looks of things, but isn't necessarily polished. It's used in a production pipeline in a fast paced setting. The works of Howe and the like are professional painters and illustrators, and they are an exception to what concept art for most movies and games are. When you get artists like them, or Brom for Blizzard, then you let them do their awesome paintings and work from that, but most production artists, (concept artists) don't have time to create masterpieces. I just wanted to put that out there so when people critique the quality of concept art, they keep in mind that these are designs that may or may not get approved, and most artists have a less than a week, usually a couple of days to get artwork to their director or lead. In summary, just be understanding that concept art and illustration are two different things, and when you see rough work, it isn't meant to impress the public, they are notes between artists and directors.

7:50 more and more I'm wondering how much Warwick's stroke had to do with this. The timing seems to put the stroke relatively close to him saying yes to the project. Coming back after a stroke is hard, it effects your cognitive and emotive abilities. Did Warwick say yes because he was stroked out? Does he suck now both because he's had a stroke and because he hates that he's been tied to this project?
