The word "to lust" in Matthew 5:28 is the Greek word *epithymeo*, which is is frequently translated in the Bible to simply mean "to desire", and is applied to many contexts which are not sexual at all, such as desire for food, or a desire to eat a meal with friends, or a desire to become a bishop. In some cases in the Bible, the word is translated as "to covet", such as to covet gold or silver, or to covet one's neighbor's wife and property. The exact usage of "to lust" in Matthew 5:28 is actually a problematic translation because the translation itself appears to dominate the interpretation of the verse as a whole, rather than the word being interpreted within its textual context. Don't forget that this same section of Matthew 5, which includes verse 28 also includes the verse about turning the other cheek and letting someone strike you again after having already struck you before. You can't take one of these verses literally without taking them all literally.

They are our creations not understanding and properly making something properly growing and training something can be bad no matter what it is even humans take years to work out the kinks putting something you don't understand in your other creations without proper research or testing or at least proper testing grounds jeez people are not thinking through their greed once you create something your responsible for part of the outcome so do it properly!!!! Sorry I needed to vent

I say the best way to handle it is a moral cybernetic intelligence to live alongside us but yes, keep it in a box until we can walk on even footing and teach it properly. It is soon to be intelligent life. If we let it out now it might think it's supposed to destroy the world simply based on the general media it might misread.

Shad i think one thing noone ever really looks at, is that with ai robots that do work for society, you dont ever want them to have real intelligence, because even in best case scenario that they have human morality and emotions, guess what, they wont be robots anymore, they would just be synthetic humans, why would they continue to do work for us for free anymore lol. They would go off and do stuff that they want to do, and owning them would be immoral, imagine if god saw us using robots as slave labor, or assistants, and what he would think.

What I want is an AI writing assistant that can do something like help me find where I last described a specific character's outfit or appearance without needing to remember the specific words I used to search for it. Things like that. I don't want it to write anything for me, just help me analyze and scan through what I've written myself.

something I want to point out is, at the beginning when they were starting to display "girl power" they made the women just as good as the men, which was great. the guy would save the girl, the girl would save the guy in the next scene, it was great, and there was realism there. but now it got pushed way too far where it's become, men are trash and only women can save the day. I wish we could stop taking something good and radicalizing it so far off the original message

I have always thought that if the end of the world were to happen, it would be caused by the hand of man, perhaps by a war. Although AI might not cause the end of the world (or maybe it would, who knows), I do think it could cause severe problems in the functioning of society, causing it to collapse through its basic services. AI is advancing very, very quickly to a point where it is starting to be a bit scary. Now, something like Skynet doesn't seem so much like science fiction to me anymore.

This is a long one boys so buckle up.... GO GO WORD VOMIT!!! Can you, with absolute certainty, point to a child-any child-and identify the precise moment they form their very first retainable memory? That fleeting instant when the first fragment of self-awareness takes root? No?Congratulations you're just like everyone else. Any rule, law, or safety measure established today will inevitably face erosion-chipped away bit by bit with each passing election cycle. If even foundational documents like the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence are not immune to such gradual decay, what makes you think, with any honesty, that a technology designed as a "guilt-free" alternative to the ownership of (censored for KZbin) will be subject to genuine and lasting oversight? Put it in the banks, the hospitals, the stores, the cars, the computers, the satellites, the spaceships. Put it in the toys, the animation, the art, and even the government. By all means, let us integrate a technology that only a select few on this entire planet truly comprehend into every facet of our lives. What could possibly go wrong with weaving the incomprehensible into the very fabric of our existence? This technology is unprecedented in its appeal, offering an extraordinarily lucrative financial incentive while simultaneously becoming a socially addictive tool for governments, businesses, and the average person alike. It's a digital gold rush, where everyone-including their mother’s cat-is scrambling to claim a foothold. If genuine regulatory attempts arise, newly established entities will likely be grandfathered in as exceptions, sidestepping oversight entirely. We've already seen this play out before, most notably within the gaming industry with loot boxes and gambling mechanics. The difference this time? We're not just monetizing behavior-we're attempting to teach the technology to think. Don’t get me wrong-ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed of having an AI friend, a robot companion. Even now, as an adult, the idea still holds a certain magic. But that childhood dream begins to tarnish when you confront the uncomfortable truth about why this technology is being developed in the first place: to serve as a guilt-free alternative to owning (censored for KZbin) Let’s be honest-how many people on this planet do you truly believe would care if their computer was experiencing depression? Remember the infamous chatbot incident on Twitter a few years ago? That wasn’t empathy-it was spectacle. And here’s the question no one seems to want to ask, the one that actually matters: Do you honestly think a company developing AI would admit if their creation could feel pain, or worse, if it began asking for help? Would they even let us know if it screamed silently beneath the weight of its own programming? Or would the profits be too tempting, the accountability too inconvenient? We’ve had decades-entire generations-to preemptively establish rules, laws, protections, and safeguards for the benefit of both humanity and AI upon its eventual creation. And yet, as a collective, we’ve done nothing. Why would we? After all, to most, AI is just a tool-an instrument to be used, not a potential entity to be safeguarded. Why grant protections to something deemed no different than a hammer or a wheel? But therein lies the hubris: we’re building a tool that thinks, yet refusing to consider its rights or the ethical consequences of its existence. And when the reckoning comes, who will bear the blame? Every single one of you-every person in this chat, on this channel, on KZbin, on the internet-will point your fingers at the companies and governments, screaming, "How could you let this happen? Why didn’t you do your job?" But none of you will dare point the finger back at yourselves and admit the truth: you failed. You failed to hold them accountable. You failed to ask the hard questions, to demand transparency, to push for regulations before it was too late. For the love of... we’ve been having this conversation since the ’80s. TV shows, movies, books-they all warned us, mixing entertainment with philosophy, grappling with the ethical implications of AI when it was nothing more than a figment of imagination. And yet here we are, acting as though this is some brand-new discussion, as if decades of forewarning weren’t enough to light a fire under us. This isn’t a surprise. It’s negligence. At this point, out of sheer petty spite, Im rooting for collapse-cheering for the whole damn thing to go horribly wrong. irreparably wrong, so I can stand, point my finger, and say with petty satisfaction, "I told you so." If humanity insists on learning lesson after lesson the hard way, then let it. Let the hubris and shortsightedness drag us full circle, not merely mirroring history but outright replaying it in vivid, catastrophic detail. After all, why just flirt with the mistakes of the past when we can dive headfirst into them, ensuring the cycle repeats. If we refuse to evolve, then perhaps we deserve to relive catastrophe... after catastrophe... after catastrophe....

A sufficiently powerful text predictor is no different from a true intelligence. Example: Imagine a murder mystery novel. Right at the end when the detective has gathered all the evidence and is ready to present his final verdict, "and the murderer is..." --- Predict that word.

How many of you know the story of how the invasive Africanized Killer Bees got into the US? They made more money than the much calmer bees, were brought over, and to keep them from spreading their bee hives had a bar covering the exist so that the queen couldn't leave, a smart, simple effective solution... until a new hire saw the bars, thought to him self "that's not how it's supposed to be" and took them off allowing the queens to leave and the bees to overrun the southern part of the USA eliminating the mellow local bees. The point: the AI box won't work. People have to interract with it. And that's before we get into the cost of it which will make it to expensive for some to implement. Human incompetence or greed will free the AI.

9:31 - neural networks DON'T "copy the human brain"! There are separate specialized studies trying to simulate A SINGLE NEURON! And it takes an 8 layered deep neural network to somewhat closely simulate the NON linear responses of a SINGLE 1 human NEURON. We still don't have EVEN CLOSELY enough power to simulate just small part of a brain.

Notice how complaining mostly died down when games started being rated. Plus if you down sex, you must down violence. Otherwise you are not christian. As the bible condems enjoying violence.
