The knipex adjustable wrench pliers I use everyday working on garbage trucks for hydro fittings. I’ve had tight fittings and I’ve taken a hammer to the handle to break them loose and well let’s just say in the last 2 years i haven’t had to warranty them and the handles look brand new

Knipex Pliers are great tools. I have numerous Pliers Wrenches and Cobra Pliers. I have only broke one 10” Knipex Pliers Wrench. The adjustable pivot broke apart, they have since upgraded. I contacted Knipex about warranty and they wasn’t receptive at first, then they sent out the updated replacement pair. Thanks Cam and Tekamo.

On those dipped handles, I find they have way more grip when you have to use the tool with grease, hydraulic oil, engine oil etc than those multi component ones, even the slick dipped handles just seem to work better with a bit of grease in there. And those massive circlip pliers are great, the ones I got are basically made for knocking the circlips off of quadtrac idlers or rollers. And they’re the only ones I know will get the job done, even if I need to use a hammer to break the clip loose.

I love when this one gets mispronounced :) The part "Knip" comes from the old German "Kniptang" which are cutting pliers. It's pronounced with a hard K like in control.

I have the 3 piece cobra set from Knipex that have been my go to since I been in the field for over 15 years, dropped them in oil, transmission, hydraulic, coolant, and differential oil and even with the oil they would never slip out my hands with or without gloves! I’m Definitely loving their brand and looking forward to them expand their arsenal

Big boi Cobras seldom come out of the tool box but when they do, I'd be in trouble if i didn't have them. Probably the last step before the gas torch in most of my cases lol. Also, "if it fits it snips" 😂😂😂

Knipex, the best quality i've found for my service truck. Even their snap ring pliers are top shelf. Their warranty is awesome as well.

Nylon tie are always long enough , wrap them around twice before tightly cinching them up . Six inch Cobra pliers are my choice of favorites !

I am electrician and one of those guys who isn’t too picky about certain brands of tools. I definitely have my favourites but I don’t think changing from one brand to another is a deal breaker. You could change my Milwaukee for Dewalt, Stabila for Empire, Knipex for Klein etc… Except for Cobras, cobras are miles better than any other brands water pump pliers. I think I’ve had mine for 7 or 8 years maybe just now they could be replaced because the jaw teeth are starting to round after using them nearly everyday. I’ve taken a file to the teeth to keep them sharp but the teeth are so hard. I think I’ll keep them a couple more years though before they get retired to the home box. I also keep the TwinGrips in my small go bag too. Which I thought were sort of a gimmick at first but I use them all the time now. The amount of stripped bolt heads and screws they have taken out is really impressive.

Might have to get some knipex now. Been in the trade 30 years I’m stubborn and my channelok pliers have never let me down. I got bad attitude about flush cuts to if I bleed on the zip ties so does the next guy.

There's a reason i carry 3 different knipex pliers with me everywhere. only thing i wish is that the twin grips had a wire cutter somewhere on them. i use the pliers wrench and cobras enough to literally wear them out.

I have a pair of 10 inch pliers wrench with comfort grips that are five years old EDC constantly covered in hydraulic oil and looks almost new

I've used that 22 inch cobra and a 3 foot pipe wrench to pipe in an entire 3 inch main on a steam boiler before. It works great but really fucks up/marrs the pipe lol.

I use my big ass Cobras weekly. They're perfect for taking the tension off tarper arms/bars on roll-off trucks & I used them yesterday on a front load tie rod end laying under the truck. Way better than a pipe wrench. And yeah I think we're dirtier

Most Knipex tools I have works well. Only disappointing Knipex tool I have is their wire stripper. Not completely junk as most on the market but cuts thin strands and uneven insulation.

What Knipex - or any other plier manufacturer for that matter - need to make is some decent 'opening' pliers. Like a circlip plier but with flat jaws. There are a million normal pliers on the market but NO decent opening pliers out there.

I have used two separate pairs (mine and a coworker's) there is a lot of cable they will not strip enough that they aren't useful @@Barbaratio Klien and Daytona Ideal and Vessel all work better
