I just got the Cutix and it is definitely a new and refreshing upgrade to a very common utility knife thanks for always integrating and bringing quality products to market . I also got a set of Cobra pliers they will be my new go to if for nothing else they dont pinch you if you come off a bolt.

But how do break the old tip, and get a shaper blade? Most of the blade holder have a slot at the end which you break the knife on weakend lines.

Es ist sehr löblich, daß sich die Fa. Knipex hin und wieder Gedanken darüber macht, wie es wohl den Linkshändern beim Umgang mit Handwerkzeugen ergeht. Leider findet man auf dem Markt so gut wie kein Cutter-Messer mit 18-mm-Abbrechklinge, das explizit für Linkshänder konstruiert wurde. Hier könnte Knipex sicherlich (so wie beispielsweise schon vor einiger Zeit mit dem ErgoStrip Abisolierwerkzeug) Geschichte schreiben ... und damit viele Linkshänder glücklich machen. *Wie wir ja wissen, finden sich gerade unter den Menschen, die überwiegend die rechte Gehirnhälfte nutzen, viele künstlerisch und handwerklich Begabte wieder.* Ich selbst habe übrigens schon seit Jahrzehnten Knipex-Produkte wie Wasserpumpen-, Kneif- und Spitzzangen, Seitenschneider, eine Abisolierzange und - meinen absoluten Liebling - die Aderendhülsen-Crimpzange 975304 im Einsatz. Allesamt Werkzeuge fürs Leben. Allein beim Anblick dieser Gerätschaften bekomme ich jedesmal Lust aufs Werkeln. 😄

I received mine. It’s very light and has Tajima blades. My only complaint is the blade change is very stiff and doesn’t work well

@knipex I find that the knife magazine is very difficult to remove. How many spare blades can be added to the magazine?

Excelenter Cutter❣️ Aber Knipex sollte vielleicht noch ein richtiges, feststehendes und ein Klappmesser produzieren.🔪 Ich bin mir sicher das viele Messersammler und EDC-Fans eine kleine Knipex Cobra dabei haben. Die kleinsten beiden Cobra Modelle sind schon zum muss in der EDC Scene geworden. Ich habe selbst auch eine und liebe sie. Ein anständig produziertes feststehendes Messer mit einem Pulvermetallurgischen Stahl könnte gut ankommen. Dietmar Pohl könnte vielleicht für Knipex das Design entwerfen. Das wäre cool. Auf jeden Fall muss das Design sehr außergewöhnlich und schneidfreudig sein. Und das bedeutet die Klingenstärke muss sehr gering sein mit einer breiten Klinge und einem vollständigem Flachschliff. Der Griff sollte aus G10 sein und schön abgerundet und ergonomisch geformt sein. Als Klingenstahl empfehle ich S45VN. Dies ist eine hervorragende Weiterentwicklung der Stähle S30V und S35VN. 👍💪 Natürlich muss das Messer in Deutschland (Italien, Lionsteel, Fox , Viper oder Extrema Ratio) oder den USA gefertigt werden. Spyderco scheint mir persönlich eine sehr gute Adresse für extreme Flachschliff Konstruktionen zu sein. 🤔 Ich freue mich schon wahnsinnig auf den Tag, an dem mein lieblings Werkzeug-Hersteller für uns Messersammler etwas aufregendes und natürlich hochqualitatives hervorzaubert. Hello, I really enjoy most all your tools but have a problem with Knipex. Your tools are great when a person in USA can get them, however we seem to like the unwanted child getting little attention. In searching for the tools I can usually find a supplier offering them for sale, but all to often the supplier is located in either Germany or Australia. I would love to get my hands on this specific utility knife because I feel it will be a good investment to populate the tool kits of my staff of service technicians. I wanted to at least get a single knife to verify, for myself, everything I believe is true of the capabilities of this, to purchase, online, one knife it’s ridicules to have to pay almost as much to ship this to me in Colorado as I the cost of the tool itself. I would be very grateful if you can supply me with some suppliers in my country who will be selling this and also tell me when they are to be receiving their shipments for sale. Thank you kindly for any assistance you can provide.
