Now I can finally show everyone I know how to pronounce this brand. Coming from the southern United States (Alabama) I've heard a variety of pronunciations. I've only met one other person who owned any Knipex tools. He was an old timer who, when I showed him my tools knew that he could trust my opinion and craftsmanship. My favorite gift this holiday season was your newest 86 02 250 Pliers wrench, I can not wait to use them in the field.

Knipex is by far the best players I've ever seen or used. I've only just come across them a few years ago. However I've been working in the field for over 40 years and now. These Pliers make My work for far easier and turn out much better. Using a far better quality tool. I can't believe it took me so long to finally find these things. It has a lot to say about them not being available in most of the big box stores that only sell things like channel locks and Milwaukee. I'm not a big fan of either one of them companies. Especially channel locks the pliers that get locked into every position but the one you need..

Wiha are very good too. Have always used wiha 1000v rated screwdrivers as an HVAC technician here in Australia, but yeah the plain red handled full chrome plated knipex pliers are unlike anything else on the market and are the best hands down

I have a number of your products that are over 20 years old. The diagonal/side cutters are as good as the day I bought them and I have not been gentle with them. There is no comparison to your tools. I have only had to replace something that has been left behind or gone missing.

IDK if somebody from Knipex will be reading this comment, but, I have just one slightly negative remark to your product packaging. I've just bought 8603180 (which are amazing pliers), they come in small cardboard box shaped package. I know that packaging has nothing to do with quality of the product, but.... that paper box was very poorly glued, when I received it, it was literally falling apart (not that box was beaten by transport, it was in pretty good shape actually, but bonding on the side was not able to hold paper together, so the box was almost opened before I touched it. It's obvious that most of the customers will throw that paper box in the trash bin immediately after unpacking their pliers, but for me it was just little strange moment... when you buy pliers which are not cheap at all, you expect that even this not-so-important packaging will be perfect also. Whichever company makes those packaging boxes for you, just tell them to use better glue.

I got your point here, but allow me to say that after working with them for 25 years, I would still buy them even if they come wrapped in newspaper!! The tools themselves are second to none, the packaging varies greatly..

I was watching some unboxing videos from US guys, and it seems that Knipexes sold at US have slightly better paper used for packaging. Btw, I bought few more Knipex pliers recently (250mm Cobolt, 250mm wrench pliers, 150 and 250mm Cobras). All of them are very high quality and I like them a lot (especially Cobolt pliers are excellent), but that really shitty packaging is lowering user experience a little bit. Almost all of those cardboard boxes were falling apart when I received them because of really bad paper and glue quality. In contrast - if you buy anything Made in Japan, what astonishes me is top notch packaging of their products. I bought some japanese hand saws from Gyokucho company, packaging is absolutely perfect. IDK why Knipex is using so poor packaging for their pliers... if it's cost related, or they wanna be eco-friendly (shitty recycled paper etc.), but for me as a customer it's a little scratch on their reputation of company which wants to be perfect in every single detail. It's strange contrast - they are producing best pliers in the world, and in the same time they package them like some poor chinese seller from Aliexpress :) I'm just scratching my head about this odd company policy.

@@amigator7789 Thank you for the reply. To my view, the user experience refers only to the tool itself, and in the case of Knipex we can count few good decades of satisfactory use for that matter. In contrast, the unboxing experience lasts for 10 seconds max. I would go for the decades... Here in Australia, when I am not ordering online, I buy sometimes from tool shops selling to professionals, where Knipex products are coming in bulk, without packaging at all. Still they command prices two-three times higher than competitors, and people know them and prefer them.. I think Knipex focuses more to this consumer group, the professionals, so packaging is clearly second priority.
