I’m an experienced crocheter but this is my second ever knit project after completing a hooded scarf. A week ago I knew absolutely nothing about knitting and now I’m halfway through the most gorgeous cranberry colored cardigan. This is an amazing tutorial, everything was so clear and concise and I loved that you provided the pattern free and with so many size options. Thank you so much I’m definitely subscribing!

OMG! It took me 2 years to stumble in this video. After 20 mins watching this, I grabbed a yarn and not I’m knitting my very first cardigan. My dream to knit a cardigan is finally coming true! 😂 Thank you very much for this. You deserve a “peace keeping prize” for this as I was pissed off to somebody a minute before I saw this video and then I tried to knit instead. Now my bad emotions has paid off by excitement and happiness. Thank you very much!

This pattern is amazing! I made a cardigan for the first time, thank you so much for this tutorial. One thing is that I am 5 ft 2 and 120 lbs and needed 5 balls of thick and quick yarn to complete it, a sleeve by itself almost took a full ball! So keep that in mind when purchasing yarn

I think it's too cute that your user name is "tink" and yet you only ever knitted a sweater way back in 1966~!! If you don't usually knit you may not know this,but in knitting the word tink is used for UN~knitting,as in you made a mistake and un knitting your stitches to try again😂It's "knit" spelled backwards,because your knitting backwards ~!! 😂Lol,,I love it🥢🧶

@@AshleyLillisKnits I’ve been waiting for the new yarn to come in the post as I can’t get the same yarn you used so had to order a similar one online. It finally arrived yesterday. I did my gauge swatch last night and it worked great. I was worried that my yarn looked slightly thinner even though it was the same weight class, but thankfully it knit up to the same gauge. Today I’ve cast on and I’m on the second increase row. My fingers are crossed I can do it, it’s my first time doing these kind of increases. So I might have to keep watching the increase parts until I’m confident enough to follow the written pattern. 😊

@Atcraftcity2 жыл бұрын
The pattern is great for beginners with one exception. I’m only saying this for the sake of any newbies out there like myself. I’ve never knit a sweater before ever. The pattern says what yarn to use and gives an alternative which I used...Lion Brand thick and quick. The pattern says to use a 40 inch circular needle. I wanted to make a large sweater and had decided to add an extra repeat of rows 3-6 for a total of 7, but my stitches are so crammed onto the 40 inch that I am not going to and hopefully the sweater will fit for all my work. Ashley, since you’re putting out patterns and you’re familiar with the yarns, I wish you would have mentioned in the pattern that the larger sizes should use a longer circular needle for greater ease. It’s been very frustrating trying to work the stitches and having to stop every two or three stitches and try to balance them all all this 40 inch without loosing stitches.
@AshleyLillisKnits2 жыл бұрын
Feel free to use a longer needle! 40 inches is pretty standard and what I use in my videos but you can always switch to what you need to use. When you knit a raglan cardigan it does get pretty crammed in there with super bulky yarn - just kind of par for the course. Longer needles are easy to switch out if you need to! Good luck to you and I’m sorry for your frustration.
