If it's made with aran weight and the pattern had thinner yarn, it could be that your yarn doesn't have the drape needed for the pattern. It could also be the top's design is made for a smaller chest and does not account for the extra fabric made with making tops with larger chests. I've had a lot of problems finding crochet tops that fit my chest every time without the extra fabric issue. I recommend the thinner yarn and try it on a lot when you are making it. Make sure you wear the undergarments you would be wearing with the top and ask someone for help measuring if you find it inconsistent too. You can also make the back lace up to add extra support and fit. You got this!! Making garments that fit your own body takes so much practice

sooo true about the chest part it is so hard finding things that fit well and even harder when making one 🥲 and yess about the yarn as well i did use aran weight when the pattern calls for a fingering/sport so i have restarted a new one with thinner yarn hopefully it will turn out better this timeee! thank you so much for your helppp

I also thought about the bust size - similar issues often happen in sewing patterns. When it comes to drape, maybe you can work it out with different fiber content while keeping the same thickness of yarn. As I remember, bamboo/viscose give the most drapery result

Maybe put tow straps to pull it, idk if im explaining well. Like where its loose tie or crochet 2 straps in each side so they can pull it. Btw, love your vlogs
