Hey! I’m following a different sizing pattern and was wondering how you got the 8 stitches you purl across a little before 2 minutes into the video. My cuff was 64 and heel flap was 22 I’m just lost once it gets to the 8 purl stitches. Also thank you for this tutorial! This was the only one I could find for doing it on short circulars

@@phia3457 so it will depend a bit on how the heel turn is worked in the pattern you are following. In mine, I worked short rows so the first row, I work over 15 stitches and then do an SSk and then turn. That leaves me with 5 unworked stitches and 15 to knit. I purl 8 of these and then do a p2tog. Those 8 stitches are essentially the centre of the heel under the foot and the short rows around worked around those stitches to shape the heel.

@@phia3457 also a cuff of 64 suggests a 32 stitch flap - in that case, in my 4ply pattern, one of the sizes has 64 stitches and in that, instead of 8, it’s 10 stitches in the centre of the heel :)

@@KnitSchool thank you so much for explaining! 😄I was worried I would be stuck on it for a while. And I meant to say 32 instead of 22.

@@phia3457 I thought maybe it was a typo : ). And if you have any more questions, do let me know

I bought this type of needles, but I believe the gauge size is different. It says 2.5 mm. And 25 cm. Your needles look larger.

2.5mm works for 4ply/fingering weight yarn. For the DK socks I am making here, I recommend 3.25 mm
