I like picked up collars too, even though I’m broad shouldered and hate tight collars. Like you, I like the structure. I also sometimes change my mind about the collar I want.

I have not made a folded collar, but i would like to do so. Your directions are most helpful.

Very interesting Meaghan, I just did this on a sweater but had a hard time deciding what to call it in a search. Thank you for the explanation and your excellent work. I try to learn one new thing on every project I undertake and this really helped.

I did a folded knit collar on the sweater I'm currently knitting for my husband. He thought the yarn I'm using was a little scratchier than he wanted next to his neck, so I knit the inside of the fold with a superwash merino in a similar color. The gauge was a little smaller with the merino (DK vs Worsted weights) so it worked out perfectly to use the same number of stitches knitting stockinette with the DK inside layer and 1x1 rib with the worsted outside layer. (I did try it with rib for both first and it just didn't look right.) Also, I couldn't find a pattern that was just what I wanted, so I used your circular yoke videos to do adjustments. Thanks for the help. 😊 The yoke turned out great and I'm working on the body now.

@@bonnielundholm5535 All of this is wonderful and brilliant and so exciting. Thank you so much for sharing your success. I LOVE the idea of knitting the inside of the folded collar in a softer yarn. Brilliant tip. May I share that in a future episode?

Happy New Year Meaghan. Looking forward to hearing more about the February events and the Sweater Master Class. I really enjoyed the Sock Master Class and imagine the Sweater one will be just as informative and fun.. Great pic of you and your family.
