Can't wait to see your ES Chicken glaring into the camera with her golden eyes. LOVE it. You need one for sure. I have had people come into my house and sit and talk to me while holding the chicken the whole time. They attest to the fact that it is calming.

I've been enjoying your podcasts, Jen! Thanks for all the fun inspo. Did not know about the Linen Quill bundles (!!!). I made an Emotional Support Chicken for Knit for Food, and everyone LOVEs her! I doubled my yarn for the whole thing to make a much denser but squishier to hug hen - so kinda the same line of thinking you have for wanting your blanket to be more snuggly. I knit a Purl Soho blanket out of Linen Quill held double. I love the weight of my blanket so I think you made the right choice. I did go down a needle size or two, though, because I thought the pattern was too loose on 7s. It was all seed stitch, though, so quite different from your stitch pattern. The blanket turned out to be one of my favorite knits.

Thank you for sharing! That's great to hear. Maybe I will swatch again and see if I should go down to a US 5 or 6 ... I am kind of a loose knitter, so that might be a smart move. So cool that your blanket turned out to be a favorite!

I really like the colors of your CrowBerry sweater! They are unusual, but they really work! Also, I prefer throw blankets that are 60 x 80, so I think your instinct to make your blanket larger is a good one.

Yeah for blanket! Can’t wait to see your progress. I am currently knitting the Daily pullover by Paula Pereira for Purl Soho that calls for Linen Quill but I use yarn in my stash . Seeing they had a sale this weekend, I decided to get the Color wash blanket bundle which includes 8 skein of Linen Quill. I plan to knit a 2nd Daily Pullover with different colours this time (I really like the V neck design). I like the part where you show the shadow of the tree during the eclipse.Super cool. We were fortunate to be in the path and got to experience the eclipse at 100%. Looking forward to next week’s video. If you want to try a provisional cast on using the barber cord instead of waste yarn, it makes it so easy to put your stitches back on the needles. I can’t remember who came up with this idea originally but I know Twice Sheered Sheep showed it in reel on instagram if you want to look it up. 😊

@JenGeigleyKnits I think the crowberry pattern is one of my most enjoyable knits, seriously. The short row hem, the construction of arm holes was new to me, the yoke and sleeve colorwork, so lovely. My lopi colors were all from stash, some discontinued. MC rough seas, 3 background colors as I wasn't sure I would have enough of just 1, rust Heather, mustardy yellow green heather, orange, leaves are heather lagoon, berries in black with kid silk haze added. Pics on ravelry but the colors arent true there, but it's a beaut :) one of my all time fave FOs. You will love yours! The band. So fun! Do more merch, it will sell for sure.

I feel badly that I didn’t have viewing glasses (but not sure I trust them) but it got pitch dark here because we were in the path of totality and where I live the population is less than 7000 and over 10,000 people came here for this. Even at 9:30 at night when I went out, it was bumper-to-bumper on the interstate going south. I have never seen that here. I wish I had gone out and done what you did. I heard that at a ski resort about two hours north from here that a couple was married during the totality and the bride wore a dress covered in little moons? I also noticed that the temperature dropped drastically at the point of totality. It was very eerie.
