Hi Kay...I have never used linen in my sock making. I have used linen in a cotton blend for clothing and it worked up nicely. The yarn is a pretty blue however. Thanks for all you do.

I’ve used a Plucky linen blend yarn for socks and yes, love them. I had left overs from a shawl so I’m making a second pair. I think you’d like knitting with a linen blend in summer and they wear well

These are so pretty! My sister knits/crochets/sews. I don’t think she’s every used a linen yarn but she makes her own clothes with linen cloth. This yarn is super pretty!

I imagine linen would feel much like cotton. I just made some cotton blend shorty socks and they are great! Maybe a favorite. I'd love to try that yarn.

The yarn color is lovely. Since you’ve not tried linen before for socks, I’m surprised you weren’t curious enough to test it. Anyhow..The cord on the measuring tape is no big deal.. would be handy if you walk and knit, take frequent measurements; everyone works differently.

I've never used any yarn with linen in. I knit and crochet mostly with acrylic. But at the moment I'm crocheting a skirt for a granddaughter using King Cole bamboo cotton.

I'm only on my second set of socks but I have tons of skeins for more - thanks to your influence (that's a good thing!)! None of them have linen in them though. My husband is allergic to wool so I have cotton/bamboo yarn and a cotton/nylon/ polyester blend skein to try out for his.

Linen in yarn for socks is new to me too. It would be a very nice shawl yarn and give nice drape. The blue is beautiful and the colorway name serves it.

I've never used linen wool blends for socks, but I am very intrigued. I think it might be fun in shorties or sandals socks. With the nylon in it, thru should wear well, and with the linen be a little cooler for summer wear.

Linen seems very elastic for socks...but the cowl looks pretty and I am sure there is enough yardage for a nice summer shawl!

We did 2 years of knit crate like you do. The yarn was always great as a way to try different bases. The extras did go down hill over that period of time. I have never used linen in any of the socks I have used. I would probably use it for a small shawlette or summer scarf. Shelagh

i never used or knit with linnen in sock yarns most of the time i use a 75/25 based sock yarn and sometimes with bamboo or aloe vera in it what i heared about the linnen is it get softer the more you wash it no experience with it. by the way i love your sock tutorials indiffertent needles options and heel options it's very usefull and handy for if you can't remember how you did it before and very beginner friendly

oohh you got the blue one, i thought that one was really pretty too. i got the tiptoe through the tulips. I actually had to cancel my membership because i had to quit my job a little while back, but have a new one now. I'm thinking I may look at the yarnable instead, when I can afford to think about starting something like that back up.
