And Jackie yes to working up your crescent shawl Fleur modifications. My all time fave shape too! I've finished one and ready to begin another when yarn arrives and I finish an in between ranunculus...... Thank you both so much - you are my spirit lifters!! 🧶Jennifer

I enjoyed the podcast. Don't let the negativity of the interwebs get you down about the dogs barking. I get that it is not ideal, but it is manageable. You guys exude joy about your process and creations. Don't lose that. We need more joy in our lives.

So joyous to watch your joy and enthusiasm. I appreciate your analysis of your knits, the yarns etc which is a wholly different approach than other podcasts. Thought provoking, and such interesting/helpful ideas about lust and love for all the yarns/patterns, how experiencing the lust may be enough. Good reminders to be thoughtful and present in your creativity. And Carmen -- don't worry, they won't kick you off the hill!!!

I discovered your lovely podcast while on vacation and am currently binge-watching your episodes. Needless to say, I am now completely hooked not only on knitting a fleur shawl - I absolutely love Jackies crescent shaped version and will most likely be opting for this one - but also on trying out Nutiden for the first time. Good thing that they have a new collection coming out soon. Thank you so much for the inspoiration!

okay, I managed to get to this point before having to comment. The phrase "shloopy loopy" needs to become a thing, a new knitting technique. Well done Jackie! And the chaos in this episode was perfect. I have held off on getting on the Fleur train (so far) but I did just buy a Pressed Flowers pattern (for the hat). The cardigan you made with your home spun, Jackie, is gorgeous. And I LOVE your Ranunculus, Carmen! I still haven't made one (though I have the pattern) but perhaps one day.....

Another wonderful 3hrs in your company! I just burst out laughing when the doorbell rang... So much fabulousness again in this episode but what stands out the most forme is the crescent shape Fleur shawl. I think the Fleur is beautiful and I've had it in my favorites for so long, but the triangle shape just doesn`t do it for me anymore. Now, seeing Jackie`s cresent version has me rethinking getting into the KAL... It is just amazing! And the Eurus!! Not much chance I can get the same yarn as you both but I have in mind to make it with Nutiden with perhaps an added strand of KFO silk mohair. Wish I could make it to Rhinebeck but I will be coming back from Iqaluit!

Always lovely to catch up with you and revel in your creativity and creations. The apology/heads up about the acquisition section in yarncasts arose a few years ago, when some podcasters got pushback from viewers who felt excluded because they couldn't buy the same yarns that the podcasters used, because they either didn't have the money or they simply couldn't access the yarns. At the same time, viewers also felt that the podcasters were not acknowledging their level of privilege in being able to afford to buy luxury yarns and/or in being gifted the yarn by various dyers, etc. Not all viewers felt this way, of course, but enough did that it needed to be acknowledged. At around the same time, and in related news, knitters also called on designers to identify alternative, more budget-friendly, yarns that would suit their designs, to be as inclusive as possible.

A fun episode as usual. I’m also in Southern Ontario and still casting on summer knits in this heat. I love wearing the silks and linens. Thank you for the tip about the no hump garter tab which I will be searching for. I wish I could use it to fix my hipster shawl. Carmen, I had the same wide neck effect with my Fuwa Fuwa Ranunculus and I did a slip stitch crochet row around the neck which made it perfect. Good luck with your tessellated sweaters.

I absolutely love your Euras Aran sweaters and purchased the pattern straightaway. I would say I was an intermediate knitter. When I went on the project page many people expressed that the pattern was poorly written and difficult to follow. Please can I ask your thoughts on this. I would love this sweater, but am unsure now if the pattern really is difficult to understand . All advice will be greatly appreciated. Dogs will be dogs, we all have occasions like this - that’s life. Thank you both for giving us so much viewing pleasure and for what you do for the knitting community xxx

yikes, so much good conversation as always, and lovely as always to see and share your wild enthusiasms and thoughtful reflections on All The Things -- and i totally get that animals will do what they will do (my cats went out in the rain and got soaked this morning while listening to this, silly boys that they are), but the volume and quantity of barking makes it really, really hard to hear at times -- they drown your voices out. i'm working on channeling the grace-and-patience angle, but also felt it's only honest to express how challenging it can be at times. and omg, you both will look -- and BE -- amazing up on that Rhinebeck hill, regardless of which knits you wear -- just wrap yourself in a Fleur (which i'm still considering, but started making a striped KISS shawl after your last podcast instead) and be done with it, you'll totally shine. (and I think i'm the last person on earth who hasn't made a Ranunculus yet, just cannot seem to decide on color.) OH, forgot to add: Jackie's Pressed Flowers cardigan is absolutely amazing, making me more eager to settle on something to make with Onska (maybe a Ranunculus!) -- looks great without the buttons. and Carmen, re: crew-necked cardigans, i just button the top 1-3 buttons (depending on the sweater, how close the buttons are together, and how chilly it is out) and leave the lower ones open -- love that look. but more often than not, here in Iceland, it's chilly enough that i want them all buttoned! (in contrast to your weather, it was 4°C here at my house two mornings ago!)

Love you ladies. Dogs are a part of the deal here, and I LOVE it. I’m sorry people are being so unkind and rather ridiculous about the puppies. If one can’t recognize the goodness and love it takes to bring a vulnerable animal into your life, they can just get over it! Don’t like it, don’t watch. Goodness! Thank you for putting forth such beautiful and thoughtful content. I adore your friendship and how supportive you are of each other, how excited you get with each other’s knits and we all can use more humans like you in our world. Thank you for providing a sense of my Ontario home too.
