Knitting Garter Stitch - Striping on the 'right side'

This makes so much sense. I was confused when to bring in the new colour to a scarf. My last one I stuffed up, the first two colours I did correct (introduced on “right side”) then subsequent colours without realised I introduced on “wrong side” 😂 I was confused why that nasty line was showing up on my pretty right side. 🙄 I get it now. I’ve made a note of my sewing book. Always change colours of the “right side” of my work 😊

My gran started knitting and now, she knits all of the time :) People don't expect fourteen year old to enjoy knitting and sewing however I love it, but I don't do it as often as I would like. I am new here but I'll be sure to watch more of your videos! Do you have a pattern for a jumper?

I always know my right side by which side the strand hangs on the cast on, That's the way I use x 😉

Hi, I’d take a look at the Beginners Help playlist. The wider, loose and tight knitting videos might have clues that fit together to figure it out. kzbin.info/aero/PLnqw36aiAI0gTYxZdtkjCxDjBxoI1txqC The tension and aesthetics will also improve with time, so lots of small projects like some bookmarks or coasters, or even just practice squares, will likely help too.
