Katrinkles has so many very cool tools and notions. If you’ve never seen them in your favorite LYS, ask your shop owner to check them out! This loom is something new I havent seen, and I appreciate the review and how-to video! Well done Stacy and all the pups!

As always, very well explained, I never knew there were repair kits for knitting. Thank you very much for the link and demonstration

Loved your demonstration of the repair loom! I've never seen the Katrinkles version so it was nice to see how that one worked. I have a Speedweve type loom and it seems to work more or less the same way except the little hooks at the top switch directions to help lift the leg of the stands you're supposed to weave under. They also really help to keep the yarn from popping off at the top. I'm like you... I know there are many other ways to repair knits, but these little looms are by far my favorite!

How exciting to see your basenji. I have two many years ago. Also, thank you for the loom demo, I have seen them advertised and am pleased to see how effective they are.

I too am easily entertained 😜 I have repaired a few sweaters but used a light bulb and seems like I caught the knitted fabric when I passed the under leg. However I just had to go by memory from watching my Nana when I was very young. I love watching your videos!

Thank you for sharing this with us. That's a great tool. I've always used the darning egg my mom gave me years ago. The process is the same but you start with catching the loose loops first to make a circle or square, your perimeter, then use those stitches to lay your warp. ❤
@ahc19572 жыл бұрын
I do my knit repairs by grafting the stitches. I pick up stitches in and around the hole. If the hole is quite large I use a double pointed needle to hold the loose stitches. My repairs are done in a similar way but it is sometimes an invisible repair if you use the same yarn. I guess it depends on the outcome you are looking for. Visible as an "embellishment" or incognito repair. I never used this type of weaving loom but it is very interesting.

I made a blanket for my granddaughter when she was born. She is now 5 years old and as you can imagine the blanket has holes all over it. I tell her Nonna will knit her another one, but she cries and says “nooooo I want this one forever” I will be purchasing this item. Jeanne

I am going to look on Amazon for one of these because mending should be fun, right. Thank you as always for sharing your knowledge, clever lady.

A comb can press the weaving evenly. Like the tip of holding the waddle down towards the finish. Also, I use a finer non super-washed yarn to repair socks. The patch doesn't make itself know as a walk and eventually walking on it makes felt.

Moths had a party in my favourite jumper so have done this by hand with metallic crochet threads going across in a single colour and used a mottled multicolour effect slightly fluffy yarn to do the vertical threads and it turned out really well - it gives a softer effect than a solid colour. If that is what you may be aiming for.
