Best instructions I’ve found so far. Lots of people overrely on video production here, clarity in instructions is harder to find.

Thanks, Christine; I was using the sharp end of the needle to weave. No wonder I kept having to pull it out and redo the row. Now I know to use the bunt end!

hi christine ! this is the best instructional video i have seen by far thank you!! question though my thread keeps falling off the loops when i start to weave with a new color do you have any tips on how to get them to stay on?
@ChristinesCrafts8 ай бұрын
It may be that you are not getting the thread tight enough to hold in place. Or perhaps not secure enough to keep that tension at all. You can always add an extra stitch at the end of your thread if it keeps being a problem. I hope this helps. 😀

Just got such a darning loom today. 😊👍 So you don't secure the edges of the hole by stitching around it first, or something? I'm a bit worried that it might get bigger underneath the patch. 🤷
@ChristinesCrafts7 ай бұрын
You don't need to but it won't do any harm if you want to do that first. Just make sure that they are hidden by your patch. Enjoy your patching! 🙂

Great video! What needle are you using?
@ChristinesCrafts11 ай бұрын
It is just a standard needle that my embroidery thread is in. Any embroidery needle will do. The long needle to press the threads down came in the kit I bought.😀
@mcf709229 күн бұрын
Hi, what size/type of needle do you use? Thank you so much!

Now, Christine, you say "pull it tight", but then it becomes narrower and narrower ... help
@ChristinesCrafts3 ай бұрын
When I say 'pull it tight' I mean simply firm, do not pull it too tight. You don't want any large loops left at the end but you also don't want it too tight (as you discovered). You are aiming for it to sit nicely with no large loops but not narrowing. Simply try again and see how you go this time. 🙂
