As part of my slow-motion series for very visual learners, I demonstrate weaving in ends.
You can see all of my weaving ends videos here (there are so many!):
verypink.com/c...
You can see my other slow-motion videos here:
• Slow-Motion Techniques
You can see my regular speed weaving in ends video here: • Knitting Help - Weavin...
The yarn I use for demonstration is Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Chunky.
The scarf on the mannequin (not my design) can be found here:

Staci, you’re just the best. Thank you for not forgetting your “slow” learners and beginning knitters.

The slow-motion really helps for the "slow" (visual) learners. I have been knitting for 50 years and never knew the proper way to weave in ends. Thanks!

The smile and umbrella terms were very helpful. Thank you for a great video.

I've been knitting for around fifteen years, but this video is still quite nice as a reinforcement. I figured out a lot through just Google and on my own but I'm also a visual learner, and this approach to teaching is AWESOME. I don't get so many people asking about knitting lately, but I'm always open to helping people out and I'll definitely direct them to this page when they come up.

KZbin allows you to adjust the playback speed on any video for those who don't know. Thanks for the great, as always, demo, "smiles" and "umbrellas" helped me a lot.

Yes - the playback speed thing is true. But I am releasing these slo-mo video so that the narration goes with it, as you don't get any sound if you use the KZbin slower playback speed.

Yes the ribbon hard candy we enjoyed way back when! Great tutorial, watched to see if there was something I’ve been missing and nope nothing. I did learn to call the stitches smiles and umbrellas ;)

Great video! I watched your 'regular' motion video on weaving in several times, but was not 'getting it'. This video did the trick. Thanks so much Staci!

So glad to get this video this week. I’m finishing off a striped sweater and I had a couple of dozen ends to sew in. Usually I just wrapped the end through the stitches, but this is much better. Thanks.

Finally! I've been wondering for so long how to properly weave the ends because I'm afraid it'll be stretched and the yarn just pops out so I always sew it close with the colors matching it. Thank you so much ^_^ I'm currently making tons of beanies to improve my skills

Hi, I like your weaving-in-ends videos, but have a question. From what I've heard elsewhere you want to pierce the yarn loops as you are weaving in the ends. This is intended to add to the friction that helps secure the end. I notice you don't pierce any yarn here, but just simply follow through the loops. Do you think the piercing is unnecessary and/or overkill?

Do you perhaps have a slow video on using the magic loop. I'm tearing my hair out.

What is smile/umbrella?? Not familiar with these terms.

Smile and umbrella are terms she uses to help people understand what she is doing. Think of the shape a smile makes or the top of an umbrella.

Following yarn that, on the back of the stockinette, you can see weaves in curves up ("smiles") and down ("umbrellas") across a row. Maybe across 2 rows, really. I can't confirm that without having a piece in front of me. I'd watch her video for beginners to hear the detailed explanation.
