Thank you so much for your videos teaching beginners to machine knit . I have had a Singer HK-100 since the mid 1980s and could never make it work. After watching your beginner's series I have not only gotten my machine out of the closet but I have set it up and now the directions make sense to me. I have almost finished the back of a sweater, all thanks to you

Hi Charlie, Thanks so much for these very helpful videos. They have helped to refresh my memory and get me restarted on machine knitting which I enjoyed in the 80’s and 90’s.

Thank you so much for your videos, I just got a Brother KH260 and I’m very new to this. Your videos are really helpful. I’m definitely not up to making jumpers yet.

Thank you so much for this excellent introduction to knitting machines. I'm just thinking about getting one and this has really helped me get to grip with the basics and the jargon.

Bonjour. Merci d’avance. Hi, I was wondering if you could me. I have noticed that you are selling a Empisal Knitmaster Mod 250 on Ebay at the moment and was wondering if you would know how I could take my own carriage apart so I can put the stitch dial back in the correct position, as someone before me who owned it had moved it and replaced in the wrong position. I will say I have had my machine since the 90's and only just realized it was not position correctly. It was because it says it goes up to 14 for double knit wool but the red mark would never reach that number. I don't want to take it apart without some insight, in case there is something that is gonna spring out at me and I wont know where it will go. Thanking you in advance. Regards Edwina

Yes, that's fairly straightforward. What you have to do is take off the handle, then remove the 2 copper screws in the base of the carriage, and then you can turn the tension dial all the way to zero or 14 (full max or full min depending on the model) and you should then be able to pull the tension dial right off. I can do it for you if you get stuck!
