Hello Josie, what wonderful makes this month. Your tank top looks amazing. I don't mind such mistakes as they make the item more personal. You will enjoy wearing your tank, even around the house it is lovely to wear ones makes and think it is vey much a feel good thing. I will be interested to hear how you get on with your spinning and how you get on at the spinning stall and any advice they give you. I am really enjoying that venture with you. I love your socks, so very pretty and yes the yarn colour really shows the detail. I am progressing slowly but having fun. I now have a second pair and am using DPN's for the first time. Just for a learning skill and fun factor. I have nearly finished my 1st square of just plain knit and it is interesting to see the difference using cotton and fingering weight yarn. I loved your idea of using the bread tag, I think it is great to improvise where one can. Your oversized cardigan I think it was is coming along well and looking great. Have a lovely break and I hope you manage to treat yourself to some new yarn. Until next time take care. :)

Good morning, Ann! Thank you! :) I agree - I don't mind small mistakes that make an item handmade. I will do my best to update next month on any spinning help I get! That sounds like so much fun! I love trying new techniques when it can be just for fun! I'm really wanting to try flexible double-pointed needles (just for fun!) for socks. Thanks so much for your lovely comment, as always! :)

Your Vegas top turned out so well Josie! I’m knitting the Seasons Sweater by Ozetta and while it’s a slow process I’m really enjoying it, I’m so glad you’re feeling more confident with your cardigan 😊

I know I already told you on Ravelry, but your tank is ADORABLE on you! To avoid holes in my knitting I tend to either pick up a few extra stitches or will pick up a few in "problem" areas in knitting in the row below. Your lace socks are so pretty! I just ordered my first Ash and Bumble from her Anne series in a sock set! I can't wait to see what vacation yarn you pick up!

The tank top is beautiful! Fully understand the modesty issue on it, but I'd make it again with a yarn you have more of, it's very flattering :) I likewise get the issue with the holes in picking up....sometimes I have to go back and pick up in a different spot to try finding a place that doesn't get the holes....but sometimes I still get them...if it helps you likely notice it more than others, it's not overly noticeable when worn, until you pointed it out.

Hi Josie I'm so happy to have found your podcast. Your tank is super cute, you could always add lace to a store boughten tank and wear it under your knit. I also have a long torso so I have spaghetti strap tanks with lace sewn on the bottom for layering. Do you have a Hobby Lobby carft store by you? I really enjoyed their I love This cotton yarn it is very soft and they have yarn on sale every other week and their fabrics also. Keep up the beautiful work. Many Blessings Amber

Thank you, Amber! ☺️ That’s a great idea - I’ll remember that! I do have a Hobby Lobby - thank you so much for the yarn suggestion! Do you use the “i love this cotton” for garments or dishcloths/potholders and such?

@@josiejocreates I have used I love this cotton for baby garments, chemo hats and knitted knockers. I don't feel it holds up as well for dishcloths and potholders. But I am going to try a tank top out of it after I finish some baby stuff for a friend's grandbaby.

When a mistake happens on the back of a garment, it doesn’t count in my book. Looks like that might be a partridge heel on your beautiful sock.

That made my afternoon! I think it doesn't count too 😍 Oh, wonderful! Thank you for sharing that you think it's a partridge heel!

Hi! For picking up neckbands, sleeves, or anything else, I pick up a whole stitch rather than just the nearest loop. It makes the pickup sooo much neater. The tradeoff is that there is more of a "seam" or more fabric around the inside of the pickup but to me that's not a problem. I try to avoid picking up stitches because I'm lazy, but for a neckband it offers more stability and for sleeves, sometimes it's unavoidable for the FO I want. I'm enjoying catching up on your podcast! 😊
