Knitting in general isn't that hard. You can learn the basics pretty fast. But there are many things that aren't that easy like more complicated patterns etc. I was inimidated by socks for years and it took me almost a week to knit my first one. But once you can do those things they become pretty easy. Often knitting patterns can be a bit cryptic so watching videos can definitevely help. It's also helpful (but not necessary) if you can already crochet, because you then already know how to keep the tension of the yarn. The easiest thing you can try is an scarf in case you want to start learning it. The first rows are usually the hardest so don't give up : )
@matt-oo6fu3 жыл бұрын
at the risk of starting a war.... crochet instead, homie. it's MUCH easier, more flexible to work with (since you're working one stitch at a time, creating complex shapes is easier-- "undoing" mistakes is much simpler, too), and you don't need any extra tools pretty much ever. You can crochet in the round and crochet cables and plaits all with the same hook. My only beef with crochet is that all methods of creating stockinette lookalike fabrics end up extremely thick and curl severely. but for me, that's preferable to just.... not being able to achieve it at all. Idk what's wrong with me, but I CANNOT knit stockinette to save my life. I've followed every tutorial and tried every tip and trick. Bigger needles, smaller needles, thicker yarn, thinner yarn, tighter stitches, looser stitches, you name it. just never works.
@centrifugedestroyer25793 жыл бұрын
@@matt-oo6fu Chrocheting is fun as well, but not as suited for many items of clothing as well as knitting. I learned crocheting first and then knitting, because knitted pieces feel so much nicer directly against the skin. I still crochet btw.

this is really cool and you're incredibly talented, but I'd like to point out that designers like lirika matoshi aren't big corporations and paying fair wages to the knitters who spend their time making these products by hand is what makes the price so high, knitting is very labour intensive and good quality hand made knitwear should cost a lot of money, unfortunately. other than that, i love your projects and love how you're making these yourself, wish i was that talented

@@pmberkeley I didn't mean to imply she was ripping anyone off just that it's he title of the video is misleading since the price of the original sweater is that high because they have to pay the knitters fair wages. okay, I'm just addicted to your channel. ITS BEEN 2HRS and I'm just not able to get off my laptop. Its been 4 years that I left knitting and crochet (cuz,i had my reasons, haha). But your channel just popped up after I just decided to give another shot after a realllyyy long time. I'm just soo happy that I was able to come across your channel. You're really really talented and soo relatable and funny. Keep going and hope you have a great day!

This is so cool! Great job! I'm not at all confident with my knitting. It was so nice watching someone that actually knows how to knit make this sweater.

I'm so amazed, i mean i'm OBSESSED with this sweater since forever (it's too expensive for me too). I thought about making it myself too but i got discouraged quickly (my level in knitting is too bad to do so). Thanks for making my dream come true 💚🤍💙

i picked up crocheting at like 12 yrs old really fast and can make stuff like this without patterns, but everytime i try to knit i crumble into a ball of stress and tears until i inevitably try again 6 months later

No wonder that jersey costs $270 like watching you making it really puts it into perspective why artisanal work is priced the way it is. Super impressed by how well you KILLED this pattern 👏

I'm kinda annoyed now because I would like to recreate the cherry sweater. But now you got me wanting to make this one. Theres only one problem I crochet...

AAAH PLS LEARN, its so rewarding
@cecilyerker3 жыл бұрын
You could just learn how to make the cherries 🍒 and then just sew them onto a light blue wool or acrylic sweater. You could find a thrift store sweater or get a nice secondhand one on eBay. The thing I noticed and didn’t like about the LM version of the cherry sweater is that the waist isn’t ribbed, so it just rolls up and looks like a beginners knitting project. If you knit the whole thing from scratch I would definitely make a ribbed edge on the bottom!

I am.. speechless, just how talented you are. The sweater looks great on you ;w; ! Looking at the results alone... all your hard work was worth it, I can't wait to see your new content~

So I'm kinda learning how to knit. and I wanna knit a sweater so bad. But it's so hard omg. I crochet but knitting would be fun as well but it's killing me. I'm almost giving up but I'll still try. And do you know where I can get good knitting needles(like the one you used) and any good KZbin videos I can watch to help me knit a sweater? Thank you.
@typicalbliss3 жыл бұрын
OMG NEVER GIVE UP!!! I have had that same feeling before, everytime I try to knit something that is a lil too difficult for me but you have to just keep trying! I got my needles off of etsy from the brand "LYKKE" but you can get cheap ones from Micheals. You should check out Ravelry.com, they have free patterns for everything and its a great resource for forums or help. As for KZbin videos, I think its really lacking but I'll try to make a video!!

I do the same thing but with Chanel flap bags. I try to make tweed Chanel bags as personal skill building projects. I feel like the Chanel flap bag is so simple anyone could make their own. So I have three Chanel copy cats in my arsenal that I wear al the time lol
