Unlike one of the reviewers, I like to 'knit along' with you and it helps me be more aggressive in learning new stitches/skills. Thank you for this video and for being slow and patient with those of us who want more than just a pattern. There are numerous sites and hundreds of free patterns online if that is all that is desired. Because you were slow and methodical, I am going to be able to accomplish this new project. Again, thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Thanks so much!! I taught myself to knit using youtube just within the last couple of months. I have been crocheting since I was a little girl, but have discovered that knitting is much more rewarding. I can't wait to make this patten for Christmas gifts. I love Purl Bee's patterns and yarns. They are my new hobby (obsession). I have recently been addicted to the baby hats made with Koigu's Kpm super wash. Any other tutorials using Purl Bee patterns would be GREAT! You are a great teacher!

Also with the width of this cowl, can you wrap it around twice or three times? I like a cowl that can be wrapped multiple times so its skinnier and closer to your neck - like a long infinity scarf. Is that how this came out or thicker? Eager to start on this!

I noticed a lot of folks on Ravelry said they had trouble with their cast on being too tight to do the first row, so they casted on holding a size 17 needle plus a smaller needle together. I'd prefer to not do that, because I don't want the cast on row to be too loose. Did you have any difficulty with that first row? It doesn't look like you had too much trouble at all.

Hello there! I just finished my cowl but it's only 44" long (instead of 58" from what I could read from purl bee's website). I used the same weight for the yarn and needles size. I just wondered, is it a matter of tension?

are you using wool yarn? if so, you can unravel the ends of both strands of yarn and place the frayed ends together, interlocking them in a way, and then put them in-between your hands, and rub your hands, like making friction. And it will make a continuous strand of yarn! It's like magic!

There is no way to fix it without frogging your project and starting over :( You have created a Mobius strip (google it) when you joined your stitches, there was a twist, creating an infinity loop.

Katrin Kölle have you heard of spit splice? That’s how I would do it. My next video(which will be posted next week) will show how to do it but I’m sure it’s online somewhere 😊

Thanks. I ended up getting a 60 incher for one that I'm attempting.

***** Where do you find a 32" circular needle? or even a 60" at that? I'm fairly new to knitting and I love your videos! I can only find 29.5" in the round at the stores where I've bought yarn, do I need to order larger ones online? or can I still do this but maybe make a shorter chain?
