I am learning so much from the challenges you face, and how you resolve them. Your knitted garments are all really beautiful. The dress in this vlog is stunning. It has a hint of the 1920s about it: my favourite fashion era. Thank you for sharing your journey. 🥰

This is gorgeous, thank you for taking us on this journey with you! I’m definitely subscribing. One reason I can think of for making the top in two halves and sewing them together is the seam will protect the top from stretching out over time, making the waist sit lower than intended. But of course that depends on many factors. Either way, it’s wonderful!

You are right, I think I will do that in the future for dresses, as long as they still fit over my shoulders when I put it on.

Knitting backwards😮. Who would have thunk it. Genius! I love that you knit standing. I think I'll goal to that. Beautiful fine knitting. Thanks.

Haha it only works for smaller pieces, not when the dress is half complete.

Oh Clare your dress is beautiful and looks so lovely on you! I bet the sparkles are extra nice in person. Years ago I used to hate purling so I taught myself to knit backwards too! lol I don’t do it much anymore but I’m glad I have that skill. lol Blessings

Your ball dress was gorgeous 💕 sperm lights, made me laugh. Oohhh a cashmere dress, how luxurious. I’ve just done a second woolyyarns order 🫣🤐 I don’t need yarn 😂 look at the Pantone colour they used to describe the yarn as it might give you a better idea, computers change colours but I think that might be helpful. The dress is so good, love these vlogs thanks for sharing, Karen

Thank you Karen. The pink fluffy thing is a little vest I bought online a few years ago. It looks good with everything. Mum's suggested I try knitting a swatch with the grey and see if it turns out ok. I will probably try holding it with another colour to brighten it up a bit.

@Clare_likes_to_knit2 ай бұрын
Sometimes when it’s a small amount of stitches like short row, it helps when I don’t have to keep turning the whole garment. It’s also useful for bobbles.

This came out so lovely! 😍 Woolyyarns is my kryptonite, the only thing stopping me from ordering is the fact that we're moving from Asia to Europe in a few weeks and all online ordering is futile for the moment 😂

Are you sure that you can’t follow the tracking from Wooly Yarn. I just ordered some yarn from them and the tracking seems fine. My order is just leaving Latvia and once it gets to Canada I should be able to continue tracking through Canada Post. (I am using the tracking number that they sent me in their confirmation email.)
@Clare_likes_to_knit6 ай бұрын
I'll try again next time I order from them, which is likely not too far away 😅
