Okay - here's what I got to knit the pattern correctly. K = Knit, T = K2 together, O = yarn over. Cast on 9. Row 1 and all odd-numbered rows: K to end. Row 2: K4, T, O, K1, O, K2 (10 sts) Row 4: K3, T, O, K3, O, K2 (11 sts) Row 6: K2, T, O, K5, O, K2 (12 sts) Row 8: K1, T, O, K7, O, K2 (13 sts) Row 10: K3, O, T, K3, T, O, T, K1. (12 sts) Row 12: K4, O, T, K1, T, O, T, K1 (11 sts) Row 14: K5, O, T, K1, O, T, K1 (11 sts) Row 16: K4, T, T, O, T, K1 (9 sts). Rows 1-16 form the pattern. You can write this out even faster by knowing all the sts are knit, thusly: Rows 1 and all odd-numbered rows: K to end. Row 2: 4, T, O, 1, O, 2 (10 sts) Row 4: 3, T, O, 3, O, 2 (11 sts) Row 6: 2, T, O, 5, O, 2 (12 sts) Row 8: 1, T, O, 7, O, 2 (13 sts) Row 10: 3, O, T, 3, T, O, T, 1. (12 sts) Row 12: 4, O, T, 1, T, O, T, 1 (11 sts) Row 14: 5, O, T, 1, O, T, 1 (11 sts) Row 16: 4, T, T, O, T, 1 (9 sts). Rows 1-16 form the pattern. You're absolutely right. I kept count of the stitches and they didn't add up right. When I ignored the written directions and just wrote down what she did it matched up. I've been knitting for 15 yrs, so it wasn't so hard, but I see how confusing it would be if you have less experience. Thanks for writing this clearly and correctly.

Has anyone who’s commented on this pattern actually followed it? The written directions do not correlate with the stitches she’s knitting. Verrrrry confounding. I’ve tried to do it numerous times. Giving up & going back to a book. Bummed, though. I like the pattern.

Please check the pattern, decreasing 11&10 there is an extra stitch

I tried this pattern tonight. It is fine with the following corrections. Row 9 ends with a K1, Row 11 ends with a K1 and Row 15 does NOT end with a K1. Hope that helps
