Gorgeous episode. When I (or we as a family) travel to a new country, I buy a Christmas decoration for each of my daughters from that country. Each year they looked forward to their new decoration. Some years when I/we didn't travel, they were allowed to choose their own decoration from our local pop-up Christmas shop. Now that they're adults, they have a collection of decorations with memories attached for their own tree and they are starting to build on those. I particualy enjoyed seing the decorations that you chose this year. :)

Oh Inga what a wonderful video ❤ You showed the mood and joy of the festival. The colors and yarns you brought home are those I too would have chosen. I haven’t been to a yarn festival yet as the ones here seem so crowded and frenzied. Sarah did a created a wonderful event. And to see you, your cousin and Laerka with her is so special in a warm and cozy setting. Everyone’s face glowed with happiness. I hope others are inspired to create more events like this here too. And Nelli is just precious. Her little face glowed with joy as well. Nice way to start the holidays 🎄

This already takes me back to a day I'm longing for already. And it's not even been a week 😂 . You bought gorgeous yarn, can't wait to see what you make with it. Dille and Kamille is only in the Netherlands (and Belgium), they have a nice 'origin story'. The last time I was there, I thought of you and how much that store is your cup of tea. Glad to see you went! We didn't meet (I am shy and you were busy), but it was still fun to see you enjoying yourself in real life, not just on a screen. Your cousin also looked like she had a great time. And Nellie is such a calm happy baby, wrapped in all the yarn. So much smiling that day, from everyone!

So good to hear and see about your experience! I had a ticket for the festival….. Had because Covid hit me quite hard and I needed to recover. My friend Mirjam still went. So awesome of her to go anyway and you met her while in line for some coffee. I did sell my ticket to another crafter when I noticed that people really wanted to go, but the festival was sold out. About the silent disco solution: wow that is so brilliant! I was wondering about how the talks/interviews would go. The older I get the more I realise that voices for sound systems can rub me in a bad way. So this way is just awesome. I hope to attend an event like this in the future. Mirjam and I visited the Scottish Yarn Festival last year and this year we went to a knit retreat together in Germany (with Covid as an extra souvenir) and then we would go to K2P2. The description of lots of places to sit chat and knit/craft was the selling point! At some festival it was: places to craft but then it would be folding chairs at the catering booths area. That does not feel calm at all as you see people com8mg with trays looking for a spot to eat or drink. 🤞🏻🤞🏻for another event like this. It proves there is a market for totally different mindset for craft events. Be well!

Thank you for sharing your experience at k2p2! This vlog was so cozy and I loved learning about the festivals' concept and seeing all your GORGEOUS acquisitions! I can't wait to see what you make with that sweaters quantity of red skeins ❤️ We have one festival near me here in Canada (QC) every year in August, but it is a "made to buy"/shop and go concept, and I don't love that either :/ I hope that one day we'll also get a festival here in Canada that puts emphasis on making longlasting connections and memories, and allows us to sit and knit 🫶 Such a pleasure, as always, to watch your content, Inga. Enjoy all the knitting! ❄️🧶

Thank you for this amazing episode. I hope k2p2 will become a recurring event. Ramie is great as substitute for nylon. I used the sock yarn by Pascuali which also has Ramie in it. I've been wearing those socks for years now. When I still had my yarn shop I used to carry their yarn bases for my own hand dyed yarns. ❤ we have a local yarn festival here every year in Leipzig. There are also lots of places to sit down and knit and we always go as a group and it's wonderful to hang out and experience it together.

The bfl sock is from 'Witzomer' - whitesummer. I absolutely LOVE the colours you've come home with. They are so gloriously autumnal! And even though I don't live in the Netherlands anymore, I was born and raised there, I have to say that the Dutch are very good at creating events like this. I've been to quite a few before I moved to the UK and they are among the best! I'm really pleased that you had such a good time there. 🧶🪡🧶 BTW Sarah really did an amazing job with that festival. At 200m/100g that yarn was probably Arran weight. Wooly knit had a sale on the 22nd Nov but it was snowy so I didn't go. They have a Black Friday sale tomorrow with plenty of Arran weight available.
