I know you are on a budget but buying a $88 sword is like buying a Martha Stewart chef knife. Watching you go to the Seki Knife Festival is like me living my dream of going there.

That place looked really cool to walk thru. I would want to buy so many knives. Now for you. Starts to rain then some good wind with the rain. The burfection man just walks around in this like a boss.

btw 88,000 Japanese yen is more like $880 not $88, I'm sure you would have figured that out eventually though! haha

How does one get the knives and katanas through customs? You just gave me a life goal of going to this festival

Toy/model non cutting katana is fine, but genuine katana require an export license, which isn't always possible, especially if you katana is of certain historic importance.

You defenetly need to make a video about the sword

It depends on what you want to buy. Some katana can be exported (new swords, common swords, minor lords, etc), but those with historic importance cannot. The whole affair has to be either planned in advance (so you can bring it with you), or have the smith/merchant send it to you after you've returned to your home country.

Ryky this seemed like the most apt video to comment on - have you ever heard of/can you comment on the quality of Nagomi knives? They’re made in Seki and make some really pretty blades at reasonable prices. Thanks.

88,000 yen is like $800, not $88. i'd buy the whole table if they were 8,800 yen each. basically, take the cost in yen and divide by100 to get equivalent $US.
