Hey All! This was such a fun movie, and a great one to boot. This was an Anna pick, as I had not seen it before. I honestly don't actively look for movies such as this to watch, but maybe I should, I thoroughly enjoyed this one's comedy as well as cleverness, while trying to play whodunit.

The will Harlan left would have never stood up in court, because a sudden change close to death and leaving nothing to any of children or making any mention of them leaves it wide open to being challenged. There's a trick I remember being mentioned during a legal class I took for my business degree, which was that if you want to disinherit a child or grandchild, don't leave them out of the will entirely. If you make no mention of them at all they can say something like "Well, obviously there was a problem with my dad's mind when the will was made or he was being influenced by someone if he didn't mention his own child at all." So if you want to disinherit someone and you want to make sure to make it stick and that they won't be able to challenge it in court, make sure to include them in the will and leave them some tiny sum, even if it's just a literal dollar. That shuts down a lot of legal avenues to the will being challenged and the assets being split up in a way you wouldn't want.

That’s actually the opposite of what you should do. Anyone you include in the will becomes a party in the will. Why would you want somebody you don’t want to get anything to be at the will reading?

Well I also never would have known that, had that song not been a request for me to react to on my main channel, haha!

@@mikewatchesstuff Hate to tell you this, but the song is not about a murder. Gordon Lightfoot wrote it about not knowing what his girlfriend was up to while he was home writing songs. That girlfriend, Cathy Smith, was later found guilty of providing the fatal dosage of heroin to John Belushi, but Belushi's death was after the song was written. (Source: Songfacts Sundown Gordon Lightfoot). Perhaps whoever requested the song didn't understand the timing of Belushi's death in relation to when the song was written. Belushi died in 1982. The song was written in 1974.

is that what you took from Gordon Lightfoot's song Sundown? that it was about killing someone? I don't think so!

That's only a part of what I took from it... the way I see it is the woman Gordon is talking about in Sundown is the Thrombey inheritance. The killing part is more so a threat made to anyone trying to take or mess with his family's (his) inheritance. 'If I find you creeping round my back stairs'

There's a shoutout earlier in the movie where Harlan says that Ransom can't distinguish make-believe from reality and can't tell the difference between a fake and a real knife - that is what comes back to bite him in that scene.

The "alt-right troll" is from the "It" movies. His name is Jaeden Martell, and he plays young Bill.

We don't know where Marta's friend. Every Thromby kid says where they think Marta is from and it's always a different country. Neither Marta herself or anyone who would care where she was from, like Harlan, ever said.
