Just a little tip for you guys at blades HQ. Im from Malaysia where Kerambits are used in our martial arts.The regular way of holding them is by putting your index finger in the hole and having the blade stick out on the pinky side of your hand. The point of the knife facing out of course. i think thats why the opening mech works that way

the way you pull it out of pocket seems to go with that, quick access, good grip, spin and hold.

I owned one of these and it cracked at the bottom of the tang of the blade on the swivel... when I sent it in for the warranty I got a call from the company saying it was a fake in my voicemail... when I called them back, I got a very rude employee talking down to me telling me how they have to throw it away because it was a fake and the never produced a black and blue version of this knife... This company sucks on quality and warranty as well as customer service based on my experience...

Josh Glover A fake means they literally can’t return it as they have not made it and they might have used bad parts. You can’t return Nike’s at a Sketchers store.

ok,i talked to mantis and bladehq, and the whole story is that the person who designed the knife dont work for mantis anymore, so mantis says the knife is a fake and is not covered by the warranty. but they did make the knife and they did sell it under the mantis name. but BHQ did state any issues with the knife can be resolved through BHQ.

I'm having problems with my new Vuja De. When I "throw" it back, it will hit the lock and bounce back out quite frequently. I'm not sure if this is normal if it is swung open to fast. Also, the lock seems to be hitting the handle on the backside, taking away small pieces of the handle. Has anyone else had these problems before?

This one's a hit and miss kind of deal for me. They got so many things right that I really want to love it, but they really failed with the bali-bit concept. If they had found a way to made the latch vertical positionable, you could atleast make a few tricks work, but as it is I'd rather have a fixed blade version of it for half the price. No knocks on ergos or construction though. As a karambit this thing is a beast. I just can't say it was worth my 80 bucks.

I remember seeing a video on youtube explain why balisongs are illegal. In short when they first came over to america from the Philippines no one knew how to "properly" use them and ended up cutting or somehow injuring themselves. Now imagine a large population of americans are getting sent to the hospital bc of this knife, obviously lawmakers are going to want to ban it.

It works well for cutting rope. and being a nice utility knife. Like i use it for camping or on hikes. It was made to be a fighting knife. That why it has a Karambit style. You could use it it for that reason. But i love it for being a useful knife.

I'm glad it keeps you amused.Can you show how it transitions from the pocket into your hand once opened .It looks like you have to flip it around twice to get it functional.It is highly enjoyable to flick it at your desk ,which is important to me also. oop look I got it in again.why no one has mentioned that you've not shown anything relevant to the use and transition from pocket to hand .youve opened then use 2 hands to reposition and still never show an actual draw. total shit review..

I'm so dissappinted with this knive, I know this video it's 8 years old but I thought It was soooo cool, and then you order it and the ring it's much more oversized than this one, like Mantis changed the model to make it worse? Also the button lach it's fine but you can open It without any force without pressing the button and it came pretty much without sharpening. Very bad, Mantis.
