Knock Down Coffee Cart

The specifications given to me for this 'Knock Down Coffee Cart' were that it had to be mobile/collapsable, easy to assemble, fit in a car, be sturdy and look good. I'm pleased with how it turned out and think that I achieved all the design points. The customer, Pioneer Coffee Roastery www.pioneercoffee.com.au is extremely happy with it. :)
If you ever work with formply then be careful as the edges are pretty sharp, until you knock them down with sandpaper. The carving was an enjoyable task although I had to be careful as the top ply I was carving into was very thin and the ply under that one was much darker so wouldn't have looked good if any were to be exposed. After trying it out on a scrap piece I managed to carve the whole front of the cart without a single slip up.
The clips wouldn't need to be used if the cart is on even ground but they do offer the benefit of locking everything together if that's what is required. I found the clips at the hardware store, they swivel into the slots easily but would require something to unlock them (a set of keys etc, would work).

Nice job Neil! I like the carving of the letters. You'd do that on a CNC router these days but it's good to know the old school ways. I was a sign writer in my younger days and all the signs were painted by hand, including the letters, of course. Again these days a machine would do all that...and more accurately too!
