I just love your commentary, thumbs up or a snap lolol you have made knitting possible for me and I'm forever thankful. It's Pro-veau(vo), they are in in Provo Utah. As a crocheter, it took me a year to find their crochet tool. They make the Cricket Cutter and the first round were defective. So to pay for a re-release they shut down crafts and put it ($) all into graph cutting machines. The Asian manufacturers were left with copious amounts of looms and now offer them on ebay, AliExpress, panda Hall, etc. I'm glad you did this comparison because I have both and couldn't find anything other than what you mentioned. This loom is still available on Ebay. My question is with this loom can I make leg warmers and or arm warmers? How do I know which size loom to purchase for such projects?

+Lindie Lee You can use the 24-pegs for the arm warmers - but you need the 31-pegs for adult leg warmers

BTY - If you have thin legs you can use the 24-peg for leg warmers just use an eWrap knit stitch. www.loomahat.com/knit-stitch/

Thanks for the quick comparison. I have the originals, but I've definitely wondered what in the world I would do if any of them died on me. Yikes! Good to know that at least some of the newer knockoffs are decent. P.S. Provo is pronounced with long O sounds, so it basically rhymes with Go-Go. If remember right, ProvoCraft was based in Provo, Utah, hence the name =) Hope that helps!

Im in the UK and I bought what is being advertised on Ebay as Knifty-Knitter x4 loom set ... but when it arrived an hour ago, it is exactly what your demonstrating here, my set of four is a French knock off but in identical packaging to yours in the film... I dont have an original knifty knitter to compare it too, but the quality is superb and I agree that unless you had a set of the originals to compare these too you probably wouldnt know the difference! I was going to contact the seller to complain bitterly for false advertising, but after seeing your review I feel somewhat relieved that my purchase wasnt entirely in vain :-) Thank you for this channel it helps people more than you know BIG HUGS from England xox

Hi there .. thank you for your response, but I was using them today and found that the pegs are actually interchangeable ... the packaging they came in is identical to the first one you highlighted in the video saying they werent made anylonger... so Im wondering if these looms actually ARE Knifty-Knitter after all? Also is it possible to make what we call here 'Soccer Socks' on the loom? The knee high ones? Im attempting to make one at the moment using two strands of 4 ply double knit yarn at the same time, but Im not sure if they are going to stay in place once on the foot/leg, and if they are going to be too tight being that length? I will carry on with it and see how it turns out :-) Love & stuff Loomy xoxo

I suggest a rib stitch cuff for sure - It should work out - which Knit Stitch are you using and what kind of yarn? The e-Wrap knit stitch does not "bounce" back well.

Yes Im doing e-wrap stitch, Im following the instructions the girl is teaching in the American Knitter video using the 24 peg loom for making a sock.. accept Im doing the leg part 15" in length before starting the heel portion. to me it all looks ribbed. Ive never loomed before so this is a first for me :-\
