I think you highly underestimate how much of a cross over there is between heavier styles of electronic music and metal. Theres some ridiculously heavy dance music out there and the more “commerical” dubstep artists often have mosh pits now. they’re basically the same scene at this point +/- the drugs

Though from what I saw in Coachella Bryan doesn’t seem to encourage it anymore. The guitarist just only tells people to push and Bryan says circle pits but that’s only it. Wonder if they wanna move on or they’re not wanting to get a bad look.

These boys are from my hometown & I’ve seen them 6 times & it makes me so happy to see how far they’ve gotten. There literally at one of the biggest festivals more known for his bigger radio type of artist & there having that crowd move like it’s goddamn house show. Pits everywhere & not a lot of phones in sight & enjoying the moment. Really hope this is the beginning of getting harder sounding music back to the mainstream.

Very deep into both scenes. Go to a ton of EDM and Metal shows and just from personal experience the EDM crowds are so much better. PLUR is definitely still a thing. Metal crowds are just way too serious. But I love to see the crossover. Metal is making its way into EDM in a big way right now.

This has to be my most enjoyable bonnaroo set. My group went and it was amazing! The mosh pit was insane and nobody really got hurt from what i know. Just a few busted lips which looked bad ass lol. Will definitely see them again.
