Poppy is absolutely feral in this song. Her creepy esthetic also works so well in this song.

She is so unique and absolutely needed in the music scene right now. She’s been around for a while now and she’s been nominated for a metal Grammy for cripes sake. It’s really solid seeing knocked loose kill it lately - because of this collab I’ve become a knocked loose fan. Guys check out her cover of spit (by Kittie) it’s insanely good 🔥🔥🔥

When I first saw the Poppy feature I wasn't too sure what to think, but a few seconds after she came in I was shocked at how perfectly she fit in. By the way, the vocalist from Dillinger is now in a new band called Better Lovers, it features the instrumentals from ex-Every Time I Die (my favorite band which broke up after 24 years in 2022), and Will Putney from Fit For an Autopsy. So if you're looking for anything with the vocalist from Dillinger, I'd totally recommend Better Lovers.

I don't know if you already know, but Poppy has quite a few Metal centric songs. I'm sure she did a whole album or two. Nothing necessarily as heavy as this but there's a lot of fusion in her other songs and they're fairly heavy for traditionally a pop artist. I'd recommend checking out her other stuff

As someone who didn’t dig Knocked Loose, or Poppy, but knew both entities, when I saw the scene blowing up with “Knocked Loose ft. Poppy” I think my genuine reaction was “What a fuckin, train wreck that’s gotta be” and I ate my words, man. It’s so hard. Poppy annihilated the track. Bryan killed it. The samba drum break down for some reason killed it. It was just a murder scene. Such a great piece. It literally made me go and listen to the entire album. I even sought out Poppy tracks lol

Her collab with Bad Omens was awesome too. Should check that out! She also just released a new single, New Way Out. Totally embracing her metalcore side on her new album. Produced by Jordan Fish, formally from Bring me the Horizon. :D

LOL.

Y'all should react to Poppy's Spit, BLOODMONEY and Say Cheese! Oh and her recent feature with Bad Omens. In regards to the haters, it's mostly down to a portion of the metal community being toxic, sexist and gatekeeping. She got a lot of hate from Knocked Loose and Bad Omens fans despite those songs being loved by the community in general. A lot of their fans don't seem to like females in the genre, especially ones that have come from a pop background.

the last pit i was in i was 33 at a drop kick murphys show and i got kicked in the head while moshing standing up and im like...time to retire from the pits. that opening guitar is so sick. crunch. i love Poppy. her scream is signature now. has a little yelp or whine at the end of a scream.

I haven't been so early and have clicked so fast on a reaction of a song in years (the glorious early days). Yes, Poppy is a feat. She can do everything. From Lowlife to this, she can create, perform and produce videos for everything. Now, I'm not saying she is the best of them. Her vocals have been steadily improving over the years and her turning metal at times has only helped. She describes her music as post genre and she can write songs all over the place, some better, some worse, personal opinions and all, but my favourite of hers are the songs where there is at least one style added to metal. It is like she knows exactly what metalheads like and how to deliver it but then intentionally throws a curve ball at the most inoportune parts of the song. That is why she gets hate at times but I also think she got some stick from her collab with Bad Omens for the song V.A.N., most of which having nothing to do with the performance but because the Bad Omans' singer did not sing in the song at all (that mixed with some fangirling over the main vocalist that spills into Justin Bieber territory if I got the message correctly as I do not follow Bad Omens). Do some more Popy. She deserves the exposure and recognition because metal needs more people like her, Babymetal, Ghost, A Day to Remember, Jinjer, etc. to keep the genre rolling and evolving. Just a little trivia, apparantly, Knocked Loose had already finished recording of the album when Poppy approached them but if you know your music, you don't say no to gems like Poppy, unless you prefer stagnation. Poppy songs, you should give a try: You did Scary Mask with the office blokes but I think Ash would like it. Rest are alphabetical. Anything Like Me - good representation of what she could be, including lyrically dealing with her struggles (she had nightmarish band manager and resulting years of struggles pre and post) Bite Your Teeth - heavier but more punk/hardcore. My second favourite of hers because of that filthy double breakdown. Bloodmoney - decent overall Poppy representation. Video is excellent if you love long, continuous shots in movies Choke - even earlier poppy being weird Eat - excellent more straightforward metal Fill the Crown - some industrial goodness Flux - more alt rock with many weird elements, video mostly Her - straightforward pop rock/punk, again lyrically dealing with her struggles I Disagree - the song that introduced me to Poppy. Has everything Lessen the Damage - more alt / pop rock / punk. Think earlier Paramore Meat - more Poppy weirdness Play Destroy - possibly her first metal venture, mixed with bubblegum pop for giggles Say Cheese - my most favourite before this Knocked Loose collab Sit / Stay - more heavy industrial metal mixed with pop Spit - a Kittie cover which is more in line with the Knocked Loose collab Voicemail - more venture into the weird side. Also she sings ' Poppy is your mommy. ' which always gets a giggle from me X - her other very early metal/rock venture. This one is jarring on purpose I can go on (Breeders, Concrete, Cue, Dark Dark World, Motorbike, Am I a Girl?) but this comment is abnoxiously long as it is. Sorry for waisting your time and enjoy Poppy in moderation or you may got addicted like me :)

Black Books! Hidden gem of British shows. That episode is the holy bottle of wine episode. My fave line in that ep is “Look! I’m a prostitute robot from the future!” I also love when Bernard is eating a coaster, finds out it’s a coaster, then asks if there’s any more. Such a good show.

When I first found out who Poppy was it was because of all these illuminati conspiracies videos about her, haha! Basically, saying she was a plant in the music industry to brainwash people. Her music was super pop back then, but there was always something off and uncomfortable about her videos... it did sort of seem like there were darker messages. That being said, I've always been fascinated by her music, even though I'm not much for pop music. It's cool to see her trying out all these other genres.

I love knocked loose, i was a bit like dave at first and wasn't really about KL at first, couldn't get into it but one day something just clicked with their songs, Bryan gets alot of shit for his voice/register in it saying he sounds like mickey mouse and shit but personally now look at his style as very unique, literally no one else sounds like him and KL are killing it now, shit they played fucking coachella! Lol i agree on their pits tho im not a fan of hardcore dancing pits, push/circle pits/wall of deaths enough for me haha Poppys voice goes so well with bryans tho in this its nuts, best description i seen that fits so well its like pissed off big brother and little sister vibes, need a popped loose EP!!
