When I stop laughing, I will offer my sympathy. First he is legless and then he has LLD ( Limb Length Discrepancy ). Well at least when you got the leg back on, The discrepancy was not as bad. Being "Superman", I think he would win an arse kicking competition as a one legged man.

Yeah, this one is Knock-off Central! I don't often get caught out with fakes, but this one got past my defences. The photo in the listing was a genuine one, but it obviously turned out to be a scam. Please don't let this experience put you off opening more figures. While perusing a Thai website that is notorious for fake items, I've been seeing a ton of listings for the Neca Batman '66 figure which is long out of circulation, which suggests to me there's a factory specializing in producing fakes like this .

Hmm, interesting. It's a very rare occurrence that I get swindled with a knockoff, but this one got past my defenses. Stephen Gray pointed out that the figure looks like Shakin' Stevens, which actually makes me feel a little better. At least I can appreciate why his hips are fucked and his leg fell off 😂

Well, when his leg fell off I nearly lost my mind. Luckily I was saved by immediate swearing and sarcasm. It's not often I get caught out with a knockoff; in fact I've only been swindled once before. I have bought knockoffs on purpose before, but this one caught me off-guard and slipped past my defences. He looks fine on display... if you're standing far away lol Thanks for watching man. Yeah Mr Carrot and Some Broccoli are friendly vegetables. I may soon have enough for a soft toy stir-fry. Great to know you've been swatting wasps like a true British gent. Our countries were built on strong wasp swatting skills for centuries now. You are doing the Lord's work. I've spoken to him and he says "Yeah mate, smash them to bits, horrible little c-nuts. They are only here for target practice, and frogs and birds and bats sometimes eat then but other that that he's happy for them to be destroyed all over doors and windows. Give 'em a right belt in the ear and flipping ruin their day. I'm just pssing on the message. Whack em with a fiip flop if you have one handy. Destroy them to bits, they were a terrible mistske that slipped past quality control on account of all the stinging people.as much as they want business. Leave the bees to go about their business making free honey for us to steal.

It does have a similar chest to the genuine one, but I don't think mine is quite as rubbery. It doesn't bend much. The figure looks okay on display I suppose, but It doesn't quite look like Christopher Reeve. Ah well, I guess I was bound to get suckered by a knockoff one day. Thanks again for watching 🙏🐵

I'm already at bursting point with my display space. Goodness knows where I'm gonna put all the Playmobil. I think I will probably choose to think of the Superman figure as Shaky, it makes more sense because his legs and hips are knackered 😂

Harrison Keaton is "Bat Runner" - Really like the Dark Detective Batman. I think I could be a sucker for a trench coat figure. Strangely cool. 4:26 I think the word you want to say is "Bondage" (well that is the one which popped into my mind, lol) Looking at the NECA site, the cape should have a sewn edge to it. You have my sympathy, it must be disappointing and hope you paid a cheap price for it. On the bright side should you get an official figure you could make a great comparison video. Still a great video and a good heads up for other collectors. Thanks for showing us the rough as well as the smooth of toy collecting MBT. 👍👏

The price was too good to be true really, so I should've listened to my spidey-sense. Still, with the hundreds of figures I have, I think I only have two or three knockoffs. Sorry about your toy troubles. I hope this doesn't discourage you from opening figures in the future. My first Valaverse figure I broke the stock off the gun straight off. Needless to say it has been my last Valaverse figure but I know they usually do good work. I have watched a few videos comparing knock-offs to the real version and without both side by side, I couldn't tell some of them apart. However I am not the sharpest knife in the shed, maybe I should apply to Skeletor for a minion gig. That Batman looks like he needs more fiber in his diet. I do prefer a soft goods cape to plastic. @phatfiesta1 Thanks for the comment dude, I'm pleased that you were amused and entertained! The figure torso doesn't seem to be as rubbery as the genuine figure is supposed to be. It is a fairly rigid textured plastic and does not seem to twist and move with the articulation very much. If it is rubber then it's incredibly hard and non-supple. Thanks for the video mate! I was going to buy the knockoff Neca Superman from Aliexpress but not anymore after watching this video! Apparently McFarland will be releasing a 1978 Christopher Reeves Superman at the end of the year/early next year so I am going to wait for that. Alternatively you could get the Mezco Christopher Reeves Superman but it's very expensive on the secondary market.

Yeah I can't recall seeing Batman Ears unless its Bruce Wayne either ;). For me the Face or Head stood out right away for the Superman one ;). It don't have a scan bar on it? I got a Superman I thought was Super Powers but don't have action feature. I think its got another part as the head pushing down into torso. I"m thinking it has a Clark Kent overlay if helps identify? I can't see or read well enough to get any information from the figure itself ;). I just use my finger nails to open up things. I remember peeling the tape to put the Battle Armor on my Vegeita for Super Battle Collection or some Bandai. Then I sealed it up again but can still tell I opened it once ;). Seems Cheap Painted Pinocchio :). Hand torn too. His Eyes Like I painted them haha.

Bought a "real/reel" one at a TRU when the dvd promotions were going on. I'd read so many horror stories about NECA legs snapping off I put it in semi-hot water before I took him out the tray. The flight hands were waaay off between the thumb and fingers, so that was out. I didn't want him to stop a locomotive, so I kept the fisted hands right where they were. I have him in a static pose on a generic NECA stand. Same with the 66 Batman. They looked great back to back...until DC multiverse Lynda Carter WW came out. So there's a BvS set now.

Yeah, 100% a knock off not even close to the original. The original was almost perfect. Had great detail in the suit. The face and the looks were almost spot The original figure is now over $100.

Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately the leg doesn't stay on because the hip stump doesn't fit properly. It would need to be glued. The mark on the nose won't come off without taking the rest of the paint off, the hip joint is faulty and the eyes are painted crossed. It really is a hot mess. It's a shame you seem frustrated by the video but thank you for watching anyway. 👍🐵
