Join us as we get up close with the Bootleg, Knockoff, Replica, Fake or whatever you want to call it in this weeks episode of "This Is Fake". We open up the SH Figuarts Bandai Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action Figures. We unbox Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo.

My heart sank when Raphs leg popped off. Not bad at all for just simply displaying but not good at all for playing. Wow I cannot believe they actually dared to put the Bandai logo on the KOS like that, pretty Gutsy move.

You can tell by price, and where they are sold. Usually on AliExpress

Yes price will tell it all day. Stay away from aliexpress and when on Ebay look where its coming from and the reviews of the seller.

i just sprung for a Mikey from this set coming out of Australia. Fingers crossed. I checked my others.... all had green plastic inards... hopefully the mike is real thing.

Even for a fake they arent really bad. I never ended up unboxing the real one. I kinda still want to just to see the difference.

yo ive had the real ones for awhile and some how my favorite turtle donnie is missing his bandana and i cant animate with him anymore is it a good idea to buy the bootleg mostly for the lil bandana piece?

I havent been able to see if the parts are switchable but I would think that you would be able to. Do these figure compare close to what you have or look at least close to what you have?

@@TheCollectionDimension i mean they're similar enough and its only the head band part at the back that i need so as long as the colors are the same (which they seem to be) then i'd say yea.

Yes that was the plan but I never got around to it. I am actually planning to customize these to look more grungy and beat up. Just moved into a bigger building so will have the space. Thanks

These were purchased off of Aliexpress. You can also get them off of ebay and some other sites. When Ebay you will be able to tell by the price and it coming from China.

Just curious, when you say that the real is from America Was it actually made and manufactured in a factory in the usa or made in china? Pretty sure neca is made in China.

What I ment by that is, if it is shipping from China real cheap. The majority of the real version were sold in US and Japan from what I understand. Your chances of it being sold from someone in the US is more authentic compared to anywhere else. The Product is made in China but majority Sold in the US.

Because the real ones go for a nice price. So if they make the fakes then people will buy for the figures being more expensive. Some other figures I dont understand lol Like why fake a $20 toy, but in all reality its all profit because the fake sellers dont have to pay for licensing.

I would have to disagree, The real ones are my favourite available so far, I think it's the metal legs and joints that give it that quality feel.

You may think that they are not that great, but believe me, when you have them in your hands you realize the brutal quality of their joints and that it is a much higher level of figure. I have Neca, super 7 and Figuarts and in quality it beats the other brands.

@@blackrider8692 i love the quality of mezco. I havent unboxed a super 7 figure yet and that surprises me. I have one of the real turtles of this version that I was thinking about unboxing an showing up close.

The original shf Tmnt figures are my favourite. The built quality and articulation are top notch. I personally think they also look better than neca toon versions. And you can really play with them like a nice toy if you want to.

I got one on eBay and I haven’t got a good look but it got it’s for 65£ is that bad or does that means it’s real??
