KNOCKOUT KING DEONTAY WILDER EXPLOSIVE PAD WORKOUT WITH X2 WORLD CHAMPION - FILMED BY JAMES HELDER

He seems to have regressed slightly compared to this. His balance was better here, which made his punches come out sharper. He could more effectively throw combinations because his feet were under him. Guy needs to get a good trainer if and when he comes back.

His trainer felt the energy passing from the pads to his neck and brain.Padwork with heavyweights is bad for your health...

James wont be able to teach what he has. Not a chance, even James Toney has no idea which way hes bobbin and weaving. James jas the gift of 'sensing' punches and that you cannot teach.

James Toney and Wilders personalities would not get along. That could be a reality tv show

Aint a great fan of Wilder but he looks fucking impressive here. Very sharp for his size. The geeza holding the mitts looks like he needs to slow down on the crack pipe though LOL
@Steven_Shelton9 жыл бұрын
That geeza is an Olympic gold medalist and WBA Champion.
@TeezyfolKKz9 жыл бұрын
Mark Breland, the guy you are referencing as "geeza", was the GREATEST American amateur fighter compiling a record of 110-1. He did win the good medal at the 1984 games, he is a 2x champion, and he's probably forgotten more about fighting than your eyes have even seen. He's definitely not a crackhead.

His reach is fucking crazy at some parts in the workout it looked like they were like 5' apart.
@MDCKilla9 жыл бұрын
You would be surprised how little reach matters...ali had an 81 inch reach and frazier had a 73 inch reach but they could still stand toe to toe and hit each other...ali just hit dead on where as Frazier's punches only clipped him but still landed...wilder has great reach and a great right hand but he doesn't have that Liston type jab to keep his opponents at bay, not yet at least
@submissivelover9 жыл бұрын
MDCKilla Ali was more around 79-80...Sometimes he's been listed with a 78" reach, in fact, go to BoxRec.com and it says his reach is 78". So, it's more like a guy with a 78" vs a 73", which isn't as drastic as 81" vs 73" and i'd say reach matters a lot, some of the biggest correspondences with boxing is great reach = success...
@drunkmike99439 жыл бұрын
MDCKilla How tall was Frazier? cuz I'm 5'10" with a 73" reach and there are alot of 140 to 147 pound boxers with a 72" and 73" reach.
@submissivelover9 жыл бұрын
drunk mike Frazier was about 6 feet...5'11 in some measurements for some fights but i'd be comfortable labeling him as a solid 6 footer.
@C_R_O_M________8 жыл бұрын
+MDCKilla I think you are quite right. There is actually a clip here on KZbin where Lennox Lewis is showing him not to start throwing his jab when his arm is retracted so far back (or to retract it too much when it is time to reset it). I don't think he got the message though (at least at the spot).

HARD WORK PAYS OFF.
@melvert339 жыл бұрын
Least he's doing the normal world champion protocol and fighting a complete no-mark fighter in his first defence, its only fighters such as GGG, Walters, Kovalev and Lomachencko giving boxing any hope at the minute.

I don't know what these guys teach him but in our gym we can't just keep circling the same way doing pads or bag work it's only a matter of time before your opponent realises this and cuts the ring off. Can't believe nobody else picked up on this.
@SparHD8 жыл бұрын
but he's a world champion and i don't think that he needs any tips from you lol.
@michaelcarter51598 жыл бұрын
oh no key board warrior is here. was it giving him a tip? no I put my opinion on here like everybody else commenting, I don't go on there comments and give it large because I think I'm a no it all so sit down shut up and if you have an opinion put it on your own comment chump.

cableaddict 1. This is not sparring. 2. What are they practicing for a opponent who only moves to his left? And then what happens when wilder comes across somebody who moves AWAY from his right hand? Look, it's a media workout so I'm not going to go into it too much.

Rowan Williams We all know you are an expert and know a lot about boxing, actually you didn´t become a pro fighter or trainer because your zen way of life was against that... But I wonder why you don´t realize they are working a specific move. Maybe because you have no idea.
@laswap19 жыл бұрын
79pejeperro LOL I believe I was the first one here to 'realize they are working a specific move'. Thanks, I am an expert on boxing. Obviously, you are the don of boxing knowledge and you know something everybody doesn't...

i am eagerly waiting for the klitchko vs wilder fight to happen! but first Deontay will have to get hold of the wbc belt against stivern and that will not be a walk in the park! Deontay can hit hard but from now on he will also be punished and the question is how much punishmente he can asimilate!

AJ beat Wlad and he will learn from that fight and come back even stronger. I can Wilder vs AJ soon, and it could be a great fight, but I think AJ will fix the stamina and defence issues by then, and beat WIlder a lot easier than Wlad.

@nicolasstratford38657 жыл бұрын
(Wilder fans) Fuck yea he can throw a 1-2. Oh he caught a jab with his glove. Oh oh he can do a 1-2-3, I think I even threw an uppercut. Man this guy is the greatest ever heavyweight ever. (Reality) Wilder will throw loose, sloppy, telegraphed right hands...that work against his low level opponents. Can't wait for a good quality boxer to land on him with a easily countered shot - he will go down, he will be off balance, feet together or falling forward with his skinny arms and legs flopping all over the place - night night Beyonce Wilder.
