I'm not well versed in all this, but how does GAP insurance or whatever, let you come out with an upgrade (Redeye)? I know my full coverage with comprehensive includes theft insurance. But the Ins co. says it will only pay "book value" replacement.

People that “upgrade” normally had positive equity in the car and just used that leftover money from the payoff to put down on a bigger car. Like for example my credit Union will just pay off my truck if it’s totaled, stolen, etc and cut me an additional check for $2,000 towards the down payment on another car. Not getting a free upgrade or anything like that.

It’s always better to get GAP when you’re initializing your loan with the lender; I wouldn’t trust the insurance company when it comes down to something like that because they look for any way to not pay when it comes to those type of things.

At this point, Dodge should be held liable. The reason is the amount of money you have to pay for the Dodge brand, and the security system is lackluster. Just a while back the state attorney general. A while back the attorney general filed a nuisance lawsuit against Kia because how easy it was just to pop the steering column and use a USB stick to start the vehicle.

GM had issues in the 80’s and 90’s with the Saginaw tilt steering columns and high theft rate because anyone with a hammer screwdriver and 20 seconds could steal any GM car. I have seen columns popped so clean that a small piece of tape could cover the hole.

Yup…. Need more than one thing then car lock. It’s nice to know that your car alarm is going off, or your window is broken…but guess what… if you’re not home, you are still screwed if you don’t have another layer. At this point, if you get notified that your car has motion detection , and you aren’t around… then just expect that the notification is that you don’t have a car anymore.

They either broke in through the sunroof or the back door. What people don’t realize that $1200 for an alarm system is worth it in the end. I’ve got an alarm, trackers, and I plan on getting a secondary kill switch just to be on the safe side. It’s sad you have to do all that just keep the car you worked hard to get safe.

If you want to get serious about security, you need to dive into it. Someone wants it, they will wait and carjack you down the road after pulling out of the garage. If you live in an apartment, you have NO SHELTER. Lastly…. Need an aftermarket alarm /with kill switch/ neutral strap. I’m not expert here, but you need to tell people to layer that shit up with security. Car lock can’t be the only thing. Next videos, you should review different car alarm systems. Don’t show how it’s installed…show how they work. After that…kill switches (don’t show them where…just show how it works…and different types).

Because it was cool about 10+yrs ago but not really applicable anymore.. The transmission holds it back, and the proof shows it since modern 8spd 5.7 will run door to door with it.. Lets be honest, a 5.7 with an 8spd being nearly identical in speed along with a much better interior and trans makes the 6.1 car completely inferior.. I see SRT 300s sell for at or less than $10k..

I used to disagree with him heavily about car sercuity being somewhat the owners fault and that may not be what he is saying but if people aren’t gunna stop stealing cars then you have to take better precautions to protect your investment. New exhausted and rims sound so good but is it worth having your car stolen. And possibly losing some money on the rims and extra upgrades you did to the car.
