Was doing some story line research and came across a particular familiar plot from an A-Team episode called Pros and Cons. Prison, fights for freedom and a heavyweight champ known as Jackhammer!
@infinitesideddiceАй бұрын
That’s CRAZY! 🤣 Maybe it was just rolling around in our sub conscious; I did watch a lot of A-Team as a kid, as did my partner who generated the list of pit fighter names haha!

Curous about the empathy roll that Polt goes through. I never really liked the rules-as-written in CPRed for (what I'm guessing with her lowish humanity) cyberpsychosis. I never liked the rules as written by writing off a character and handing it over to the GM. Are you guys rolling to mimic something like Edgerunners did where reality and psychosis kind of merge so a PC is still in the situation and in somewhat control, though their perception of reality is off? Cause I might totally bring that into my games. It seems like something that also might work to encourage players to use the therapy mechanics, as these kinds of episodes could be warning signs for the character without going from "your fine" to "losing total control."
@infinitesideddice Жыл бұрын
Yes, this is definitely inspired by the Edgerunners style loss of control. We will need to do a video or something detailing exactly what’s going on. The quick and dirty version is, after a triggering event, roll a d10 and try to get your emp score or lower. Also a d100 under humanity makes sense. Any unsuccessful roll results in a “loss of control” which I would suggest you talk to your players about ahead of time. Then allow a roll every round to regain control. There’s some more fiddly stuff we are working to refine as we play. As usual, be careful with homebrew and make sure the players are having fun and you can’t go wrong 🙂

@@infinitesideddice OK, I'm glad I was on the right track. Mental health can be a really touchy subject, so I agree that there's got to be a lot of communication. I definitely jive with this method though, as not only does it feel more true to the lore version of cyberpsychosis, but it also allows some player agency. I know a lot of players don't like "mind control" effects or any mechanics where the GM takes over. Would love to see a video going over thoughts on this, as well as any of the other rules you guys are playing with!

@@infinitesideddiceokay but i have a question - it' is the current Emp stat you roll under and not the 'original' stat before you built in your cyberware right? So 3 isn't poltergeists original emp score but the one resulting from subtracting humanity lost because of Cyberware
@infinitesideddice Жыл бұрын
@@carlholter328 correct. That is poltergeist’s modified emp score

Im not very familiar with cyberphycosis mechanics but i assume poltergeist/ghost is being affected by it if so could someone tell me how it works? (Never mind i see someone else has already asked this)
@infinitesideddice4 ай бұрын
Yes, this is definitely a homebrew mechanic we designed for this character. Normally it’s an all or nothing deal but we were interested in seeing poltergeist struggle without going completely crazy. As always, thanks for watching choom! 💛💜

There's also such a thing as too much planning for a heist. When they get inside, the answer might be discovered. You're not wrong though.
