Thank you! Exactly what I needed! Very useful tutorial as someone who already had some knot knowledge (thanks scouts haha) but didn't know where to start for this type of thing. I made a smaller version and just repeated the sectioning for hanging items so I could hang up my noodle cups in the cupboard so they weren't taking up all the shelf space. Thank you!

When you measure the circumference of the hat in order to divide by two, are you measuring from brim to brim? I have a fedora and an unsure how to measure; also, I assume you are measuring in centimeters, right? Thanks for the pattern; it’s beautiful and I can’t wait to make it!
@KnotCalm2 жыл бұрын
Yes I am measuring in c/m when I make mine. You will need to measure around the part of the hat that your head goes in. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project!

What kind of yarn do you use? And is macrame the same as crochet?
@KnotCalm Жыл бұрын
I use a twisted cotton cord, macrame is quite different to crochet as it uses your hands rather than a hook and different knotting techniques. I haven’t done much crochet though!

Hands are too fast and your thumbs cover the knots you are making

Your hands are in the way. I have taken it apart twice and I just started this. So frustrating. You need to say if the cord is coming from the back, etc.

Surely there is a nicer way you could have said this. Tad rude.

Your 10 mins took me ten hours 😂 you really need to show the double half hitch much slower …had to keep jumping into other you tube posts to grasp this knot ….slow your videos down and do full shots of how to do the knots your doing ..
@KnotCalm Жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear you are having trouble viewing the tutorial! You can slow the video down in speed by clicking on the settings toggle, clicking Playback Speed, and then clicking the slower speed that you like. I also create tutorials for each knot which go through how to do the knots much slower, so the idea would be to watch those first and then once you know the knots you need, to use this tutorial to creat the hat hanger. I hope this might help with following the steps.

Not very simple to follow because you go really fast and you really don’t show which is going over and which is going under
@KnotCalm Жыл бұрын
sorry that you are having trouble following the tutorial! You can change the speed of the videos on KZbin if that helps, so you can make it go slower if you need to. There are instructions on how to do so here (Depending on the device you are using): typito.com/blog/how-to-slow-down-youtube-videos/

Agree. I cannot see the point where the knot is being first made, only the point where it is being pulled tight.

Same I cannot tell what she's doing most of the time because her whole hand is in the way. Wasted so much time rewinding and trying to figure it out so I'm moving onto another video

Nice but I think your tutorial is not very good … it’s just watching you make it…. Maybe watch your own video & read the comments … it was not easy at all will find another one… but nice finish
