Great vid! What types of ropes do you use ie. nylon, dyneema, poly?
@BornAgainBoatingАй бұрын
Really depends on the application, here's a good reference: www.premiumropes.com/rope-advice/rope-materials

hey i have a question. i’ve been looking at some used center consoles around 17ft and i wanted a yamaha outboard but they’re pretty expensive. in your opinion do you think a mercury optimax or evinrude etec would be more reliable? thank you
@BornAgainBoatingАй бұрын
No I don't think they will be more reliable, but that doesn't mean they can't be reliable engines. Opti's are just finicky when it comes to the fuel and you need to keep good clean ethanol free fuel in them or at least don't let ethanol sit in them. They also don't like to sit for long periods of time. And Evinrudes are 50-50, 50% of people have great experiences with no issues for long periods of time, and the other 50% of people have nothing but problems with them, that's been my experience and opinon :)
