Not sure if anyone else mentioned already, but "The Chilling Chambers" was the 50th anniversary maze for Scary Farm, so each section of the maze honors a famous or fan favorite house, and each tombstone is the name of an older maze from the past. Very cool way to celebrate the history of Knott's

Very happy you had such an ideal visit to Knotts Scary Farm. It can be challenging later on in the season but it is still worth the visit as everyone can see from the video. This was a great experience seeing your first long awaited visit. Knotts did it first and have kept the heart of the event all these years. They set the standard. A walk through Ghost Town alone proves that. The 11th House is the park itself. I like the clean cut professional event that Universal puts on, but Knotts feels so right. Tho, I do believe that Universal has pushed Knotts to get even better which is a great thing. They got that homemade atmosphere plus-ed up. Shawn mentioned personal scares and that is truly what this is. The Scareactors are proud of what they do, and you can tell. They are absolute legends. I gotta go again this year to see this in person, this vid got me hyped. I do find it crazy how many local events we got that are such high quality and high expectations. That I think is part of why they are so good and intense. They go beyond what you might expect from national chains. If you had seen the shows, well they would be considered very spicy for theme park entertainment. Elvira Mistress of the Dark was a mainstay for so many years at Knotts. And The Hanging..goes places you wouldn't expect. And that's okay for this event, we want that full on experience of scares and more. I think even Oogie Boogie goes further cause of all that locally.

I had just as much fun as you two did just by watching! Lots of people are confused by Eight Fingers Nine, but there is a narration all the way through that tells you what's happening. Not sure if someone else has posted this yet, but the Cinema Slasher maze is an ode to former mazes from prior Halloween Haunts. Camp Gonnagetcha was the theme for the Log Ride in the 90s, Doll Factory (on one of the movie posters) & Slaughterhouse were scare mazes. The Chilling Chambers maze is also a quick tour through old mazes - Industrial Evil, Club Chupacabra, The Asylum (I must not have gone the years of the other ones).

And the framing device for the Cinema Slasher maze is just like an unused idea for Epic Universe that was cooler than anything Universal is actually building. There was concept art for a ride in the Dark Universe section that would have started with riders watching a horror movie inside a car parked at a drive-in. Then a storm would gather, a magical portal would open up in the screen, and the cars would have flown into the screen and through scenes based on several horror movie sub-genres on many possible paths.

I knew that knotts repeats mazes, but I didn't think they lasted that long. My first and so far only trip to KSF was in 2019 and Wax Works was one of the knew mazes. I remember the lines for the haunts being short except the new ones, but the coasters had insane waits. Exact opposite here in orlando/tampa at hhn and hos

There are two or three new mazes every year. Usually the oldest couple mazes get rotated out, but this is the final year for Bloodline 1842 and it opened two years ago. Dark Ride was replaced by Cinema Slasher last year. This year is the final year for Wax Works.

Fun fact : with those lanterns, you can change other people's lantern color (saw that on another YT channel) And as i believe and heard .. you can use the lanterns in the houses (some kind of interactive thing).

They started this in the 70s Wolfman jacks hosted park with his shock and rock review , no park was doing this back then , mine ride did best scares and they had a haunted shack ride that also was themed for Halloween, now Knotts is grown and it's everywhere , queen mary ship has a great haunted ship if u can go . Also the show they put on making fun of disney and other places is hilarious

For those of you not in the United States. In every city and every town across the US. There are privately run haunted houses. Or scare mazes as you say. And they are extremely fun extremely scary. I know here in Houston there is a 10-story hotel the whole hotel is done. They make you sign a release to go in they are very scary. Got to love Halloween 🎃🎃🎃
