Those aren’t fids. They are three different sizes of thong holders for stitching and thonging. The thongs are cut off at an angle, and then screwed into the threaded holes at the end of the “needle.” These can be used to re-lace a baseball glove. Fids are similar to marlinspikes, but much thinner. They either are constructed to angle out into a handle section, or have a handle added.

Why the MarlinSpike Knotters tool cost 38 bucks?

The inside where Fids go isnt large enough for 2 type 3 fids. The Pocket clip is in the way and useless in my eyes if you use a proper lanyard. All in all a great spike.

I noticed that too, it's only large enough for 3 fids of type 1, 2, and 3. Would have been nice to fit two type 3's as you said.
