I love these breakdown vids! Quick story: yesterday I got invited to play with the “big kids” at our local pickleball center (3.5+to 4.5 rec players) for the first time. I have gotten into the habit of asking more advanced players what they notice I could improve. One person said other than consistency, making the right shot selections was the most important part of improving at at that level. So I’m grateful you guys are making these mental training videos. It’s a unique niche in the field.

I learn a lot from your point breakdowns. Caden, thanks for sharing what you and Pesa discussed before hand and why you decided on your actions. Great video.

Another cool winner! More please! Would be also good to analyze on some mistakes, if Caden doesn't mind :D

I love these "breakdown" videos! They're so helpful, especially when you pointed out Pesa's ready position. I was watching the ball, so I didn't notice his low position until you pointed it out. Everything you point out ties it all together & makes sense. Now, if I can just put that all into practice... 🤔

Love it, noticed on both speed ups, the returners naturally moved back off the nvz line some anticipating the speed up because of awareness of attackable ball like y'all have brought up in the past. Great breakdown and good finish Caden.

It's weird how when I play now., the game slows down and I'm becoming more aware of what is going on and the different choices of options in front of me. Tnanks!!! Love your breakdowns!!!

is your paddle twirl considered a "distraction" i love the look of it and i dont want to start using it if itll only hurt my game
@BrionesPickleball Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t start using it just because it looks cool. Lol

Could you explain how Coop is using his LH as support/guidance when he's hitting a backhand? I haven't seen players use this technique.
@BrionesPickleball Жыл бұрын
Not sure if he’s actually supporting it or not… but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it lol

Great analysis guys!!! Nico has an aggressive forehand top spin dink to Caden. Caden responds back with a forehand slice (back spin) dink. Is that part of Caden's thought process to know right away that he will do a back spin dink? Or is it just reaction that causes him to do that?

As you drill more and more, your decisions will get quicker and quicker. High level players make a decision based on the incoming ball. He had different options besides the FH slice, but he chose that in this scenario. Each ball will be a little bit different, so you have to work that out in your practice time.

Interesting to note that Cooper keeps his left hand on the paddle face when not hitting.

I wouldn’t recommend it.

Looks like he stepped into the kitchen before the ball hit the ground at 12:47 ish

You can lie down and sleep in the nvz if you want to, you just can't volley in there.....
