The full moon that falls every month has a special significance in Hinduism. Purnima is the last date of every month. Bathing and meditation are also done in the holy rivers on this day. The full moon that falls in the month of Magha is known as Maghi Purnima. The special significance of this day has been told in the scriptures.
हिंदू धर्म में हर महीने पड़ने वाली पूर्णिमा का विशेष महत्व है। हर मामहीने की आखिरी तिथि पूर्णिमा होती है। इस दिन पवित्र नदियों में स्नान-ध्यान भी किया जाता है। माघ महीने में पड़ने वाली पूर्णिमा को माघी पूर्णिमा के नाम से जाना जाता है। इस दिन का शास्त्रों में विशेष महत्व बताया गया है।
