Know Your Enemy - Goombas

Since I'm unable to respond to a couple of you, I'll just make my own post. First of all, thank you. I am absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of support this silly little idea I had six months ago has received. But I suppose I should lay down the ground rules for Know Your Enemy going forward. The main thing to note is that it will never be limited to any one franchise. I know GameXplain is known mainly for Nintendo content, but I want to celebrate all video game franchises whether I know the series well or not. The only limitation on which enemy gets the spotlight is that it has to be a normal one so no bosses. This means that I'll never cover the likes of Bowser, Ganon, Eggman, Ansem, etc. on Know Your Enemy. This is a celebration of the little guy :) As for how often you can expect these to be posted, I'm going to try my best to get out one episode each month. There is a LOT of research to do when it comes to KYE plus double checking all of those sources. Fortunately with the pilot out of the way, it should be a lot easier to make future episodes. But as I said, I'm hoping to keep a schedule of one each month. Thanks again for all the support, and I am already starting a list of all YOUR suggestions for future installments. Keep them coming! Hahaha, Goomba are so cute. They are indeed the first enemies I ever fought. Makes me wonder if it'll continue, or if there's just too much else to cover to truly make another one of these... If you can make more, though, some enemies I'd like to see you cover are: -Metroids (Metroid series... duh) -Shy Guys (Yoshi/Mario series) -Waddle Dees, Waddle Doo, Poppy Bros., Knuckle Joe, or any other enemy of this type (Kirby series) -Any EarthBound enemy -Egglplant Wizard or Reaper (Kid Icarus) Trying to choose enemies from series you haven't covered yet. ;)

The Mario Live Action movie was actually one of the first ones that was based off of a video game series, so you pretty much have to cut it some slack for that fact alone. Heck, in the interview with the actor that portrayed Luigi, he stated that he had alot of fun on the set of the movie.

Actually when Miyamoto was designed it someone ran around saying "It's a chestnut! It's a chestnut!" Obviously it was a mushroom, but lots of his team called it a Kuribo, and it stuck.

Hey Derrick, you did a awesome job in this loved the new series, and if you want some suggestions you could do do Shadow or Dusk (Both are the basic, Heartless and Nobody respectively, monsters from KH), or even Moogle from Final Fantasy
