Rewrapping is a common tactic in the firework industry, and even though many of us find it annoying. It provides significant business benefit for firework companies. Often times these rewraps are priced differently. So if you want one, why not get the cheapest one right!
This video will help determine in my opinion the best of these rewraps to buy and how to save the most money and trouble!

Always interesting to find out which items are copies, or near copies. It's important to note, however, TNT, Phantom, and many others don't MAKE the fireworks- they're importers. And most use the same big Chinese factories. For your Opening Show example, my best guess is that TNT, has some sort of exclusivity deal on that item- and as the biggest importer in the US, they have the buying power. And that's why others don't sell rewraps of it. Mostly, though, the factories just make fireworks. Order enough, and they'll put whatever label you want on it- they don't care, as long as the product moves. They'll also gladly make you custom designed items, or improved versions of existing items. As I mentioned on one of your other rewrap videos, this has everything to do with why it's confusing as hell figuring out what's what! lol. (and that's before you factor in factories copying other factories...) Keep up the good work! It's frustrating finding out AFTER you shopped several different places, that you bought several of the same item- all with different names.

@@pyroman6000 Thank you! That was the intention of this video and also to avoid paying more for an item than you should! Like i said, always really appreciate factory insight as well, it’s an interesting business all around and not just the entire playing with fire part

@@mattscaliforniafireworks Sounds like a California problem. They're one of my go to's for the really nice fountains on this side of the country. Funnies and Champaign Supernova are two that I snap up in a heartbeat whenever I see them. Hulla Blue is another. (and that one IS available at their main showrooms) When I watch videos people post showing the current year's flyer for California, I'm always "hey, wait a minute- where's X? or Y?? or...?? How come those tents don't sell them?" Oddly, here, it's TNT that has the crap reputation. Very expensive, and they sell a TON of what I call "paper and air". They do have some good items- but so does everyone- and a lot of them charge less. On the business side, the tent operators get kind of a raw deal, too. I gave up on them, entirely, when independant mom n pop tents started popping up. Especially one who imports all of his product directly. On the flip side, the selection of TNT items sold here is very different- most of the items you guys like aren't available here. I wonder why- they sure have enough tents, esp now that they have the exclusive deal with Walmart. I'm just glad I'm not the one who has to figure out the tangled web of state regulations and what can be sold where.

@@pyroman6000 All of those Phantom fountains you mentioned haven’t been sold here except the funnies, and even then that has been long gone for years. They had some good deals this year that I capitalized on but nothing truly must have. The Storm Runner fountain was as close as it got, but there are two versions of it. The big gigantic crackle version or the watered down one that’s eh. Interestingly I think Phantom has CA only rewraps of some fountains you will find in tents and superstores out of state. Apache Firedance fountain has a much weaker version for California called Professor Flame. Phantom doesn’t necessarily have a bad reputation here, it’s just that they haven’t introduced a load of new product here in awhile and a lot of their older fountains aren’t what they used to be. I think the TNT love here isn’t really a love, but more of a their the best we got thing. They are overpriced but they also are about the most powerful legal fireworks we have here since phantom is their only competition. They also have California only stuff that you will find different versions of in out of state areas. One thing to note is that part of California’s price problem really isn’t a big problem. 30% of sales here go to the non profits who volunteer to run the booths. I can get behind that. The only problem is often the markup isn’t just 30%, some go as high as 100%. A $500 finale assortment TNT sells here has been sold in other states for as low as $170. That’s way more than a 30% markup as you are aware. Of course there’s shipping too and i get that may mark it up a bit, but still, somethings not correct on it. TNT also gets a little pass for offering clearance deals here and new items each year. They come out with 5-6 new items a year and every year when it’s time to get rid of something to make way for the new stuff. They put a clearance discount on it. Sometimes the discount is only 20%, but on some items it can go as high as 70%. These make items that previously were out of reach to customers on low budgets available to try and often times you’ll see pyros with multiple of these. TNT isn’t great, but they’ve done a lot more to help people out these past few years and keep things interesting than Phantom has, hence why I think most in CA will say TNT is the better option, despite their horrendous out of state reputation. TNT also seems to listen to these CA videos in some capacity I believe. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the year after beastlol made a video talking about 90 second sparklers from Brothers and how they would sell like hot cakes in CA if somebody brought them in. Next year they were here and sure enough, they flew off the shelves so fast that TNT even had to make a second version of them just to have enough for everyone. There was also a complaint made about a lack of flying fish in fountains that resulted in two brand new fountains with awesome flying fish. This year, they released a low noise item and a 3 minute long fountain. Yet again, both things a wide variety of the California community was looking for. One time sure, coincidence, but all these other times, someone from them is watching and taking notes, and it’s driving business towards them.
