That was a very to the point lesson on how Presidential general elections are won. The winning popular vote is typically reflected in the electoral college vote, but not always. Your argument is the same as mine, Art. Let the candidate with the most votes be the winner. This is why a lot of people don’t vote…They feel their vote doesn’t matter at the end of the day.

The founding fathers got it right , we live in a Republic not a Democracy . If we went by popular vote this country would be run by ONE party ALL the time , the small states would NEVER have a say so .Like you pointed out we would live under California , New York , Texas and Illinois law forever and that would be a Socialist State . @@curly73ful .. I guess you are referring to tax's which have nothing to do with the Electoral College , who are chosen by the voters of the different parties of each state. Is there corruption in government , of course there is and that happens across the board . But the fact remains we must maintain the statis-Qo to insure FAIR representation to each state and our founding fathers recognized this or their would be chaos not a REPUBLIC . For example , in the original 13 colonies the north east out numbered most other states at that time so that's why each state was given equal representation. Just like California gets 52 & another state may get 7 it all adds up to who gets to the 269 electoral votes first and that is fair . Thank you and have a very good day .

Keep the electoral college. Three - four Cities should not overwhelmingly select one branch of government.

I have told people this for years. And they told me I didn't know what I was talking about. So I told them to just keep vo for who there grandparents and parents said who they are sopuse to vote for. Abd not do there own investigation on who really helps the people and. I say people wake up.
