They are his favourite, but he also loves to play Nirvana, Pumpkins, Foo, Blink and Rage Against The Machine. Proof positive that hard work and dedication to your passion, with a little luck sprinkled in, can make dreams come true. SO FUCKING PROUD. He did great! You can tell Billie Joe loves that part of the show. Green Day is a band that seem to really love playing live. So many bands just go through the Motions, but they're up there having a blast and crowds can feel it. Same vibe I get at foo fighters concert.

The funny thing is he was giving that kid the guitar, no matter what the situation was the spotlight operators heard it through their comms. I was doing the set changes for the show. I was one of the stagehands that put the grass/fences in front of the drum riser for Fall Out Boy.

Man this makes my heart happy. Thanks for posting this. These guys have nothing to prove. They are bonafide rockstars. Legends. But they’re also great dudes, with huge hearts, who give a shit. Billy Joe knows how that moment changes someone’s life, every time. They don’t have to give away a guitar each time out. But they do it, and in a way, as we all are together in the moment, it changes our lives for the better, even if just for that moment. Powerful, beautiful stuff. I won’t forget this ever.

We saw this show in Houston, and when he did this bit, it took him a little while to find someone willing to play...He picked a girl at first, got the guitar around her neck and everything, only to find out she had no clue how to play guitar, lol. In the end, he did find a guy and that guy did a great job! I love seeing kids do it a lot more, tho!

@@ElbertTreble billies getting away from the strat copy. He’s been pushing that way for a while now. The older he gets the harder it is for him to play the full size guitars. Nothing wrong with a Gibson they just don’t have the same tone as the strat copy.

@@ElbertTreble I agree with you I’m a fender fan and even though blue isn’t a real fender it’s still the Stratocaster skeleton. Most all of genders guitars are 25.5 inches scale length which is fancy for how long the neck measures. All of gibsons guitars are 24.75 inches so it may not seem like a big difference but it’s enough to add in a whole fret in some models and measures. For the most part it just bunches the frets closer and with billies small hands and old age (and he doesn’t take care of his body) that makes all the difference. It even lets the stings move more on the smaller scale guitars like Gibson. It’s really confusing at first but it made sense once I bought a couple guitars. The junior les Paul is stilly favorite guitar ever but I honestly prefer to play a fender strat or telecaster. I honestly kinda do not like Gibson for their quality and complete capitalist business model.
