Can someone explain how Ethan Mollick suddenly became a (self-proclaimed) AI expert when his first paper on the subject was in 2023, which is pretty much when every layman and his dog started playing with ChatGPT? Last time I heard about this guy he was doing gamification. Stop the bandwagoning.

I've only ever seen him referred to as an expert, so if he goes around saying "I'm an expert", that's new to me. I think he is vocal about how he is adopting and approaching it in his profession, thus others book time with him wanting to hear practical examples of how its used in teaching or business (area's he repeatedly brings up), and predictions on what's next in a realm many don't understand. idk ask ChatGPT, it will prob give you a better answer than me lol
