@@JeshuaSquirrel While some guests do write their own verses partially, Snoop didn't. It was mentioned in the Behind the Scenes for this rap battle that they handed him his text and he was surprised that it was actually good, since he expected it to be just kind of a joke rap battle.

Fun fact: at the time this video was recorded ERB was signed to Maker Studios (nowadays known as Disney Digital) which was a daughter company of Disney. Snoop was signed there as well (or perhaps he still is) hence why they managed to get him involved. ERB went independent years later as they didn't agree with Disney's business practices. I believe the last video they did under Maker Studios was the Stan Lee one, where they did a pretty vile impersonation of Walt as you already know. The rest is history.

A slight correction on the comment about Moses breaking the law; at the time that he killed the Egyptian slave-master, he was practically Egyptian. He'd been raised in the Pharaoh's palace and he barely knew his own people; but he saw that how harshly the slave-master was treating the Israelite was wrong and he killed him for that. Also, he wasn't preaching anything at the time. He only got the Ten Commandments probably decades later, and certainly didn't really know who God was at the time - so yeah. He didn't see himself as being wrong as he was basically an Egyptian in his own eyes.

2:42 I was talking to MugetsuTV on one of his recent videos about this and pointed out how rappers and rock/metal vocalists use this vowel modification technique, but each for different reasons. I'm sure you already know this, you're a crazy lyricist haha but I like talking about it.. Like you mentioned, rappers will use it for double entendres like wan(obi) and one. It's also used to help them achieve end of bar rhymes, and multiple syllable internal rhyming schemes. In rock/metal singing(pop probably too), rhyming isn't something that's necessary for bars, but it is common. The focus is more on the melodic scheme for their bars. For example, take the 2 words "me" and "day". Me/e vowel ending, is a naturally higher pitched word, whereas day/a/ay ending vowel is lower. Both can be sung on the same note, but their resonance doesn't match. So singers will often modify the vowels for a melodic match, and a rhyming match if necessary. Example: She opened her heart up to may(me), I will love her till my last day. "Me" can be modified to "May" to match the next bar in tone, and rhyme as well. For an end of bar 3 syllable rhyme scheme, and internal schemes, vowel modification is a great tool. Not a rapper (so bear with me writing the worst bars ever haha) Without vowel modification: These rappers takin a rest on me. Take your shots, I got my vest today, Killing the game, it's my destiny. They didn't, there were several times that they turned their backs on both God and Moses and said, "Fuck it." It's a reoccurring theme actually. The name "Israel" is a double even, it means to be "Triumphant with God" but also "To wrestle against God" so it seems that it was something that people were aware of even then.

The story goes along that God punished the Hebrews because they talked shit about the land where Israel was so he made them turn around and wander for 40 years
